Corey Webb of Nebo tried his luck on a $30 scratch-off and won a $100,000 prize.
Webb bought his lucky 200X The Cash ticket from Mt. Vernon Cubbard on Hudlow Road in Forest City.
He arrived Thursday to collect his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $72,018.
The 200X The Cash game debuted in November with three $5 million top prizes and six $100,000 prizes. Three $5 million prizes and three $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
A $15 million grant, using money raised by the lottery, helped McDowell County build the new Old Fort Elementary School. For details on other ways McDowell County benefits from lottery funds, visit www.nclottery.com and click on the “Impact” section.
