Simson Biswas of Cary took a chance on a $30 scratch-off and won a $100,000 top prize.
Biswas bought his lucky $100,000 Cash Payday scratch-off from the Park N Shop on East Chatham Street in Cary.
He arrived at lottery headquarters Monday to claim his prize and, after required state and federal tax withholdings, took home $72,018.
The $100,000 Cash Payday game debuted in March with 80 $100,000 top prizes. Sixty-three $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed.
