Jeffery Lane of Archdale took a chance on a $1 Cash 5 ticket and won the $130,000 jackpot.

Lane matched numbers on all five white balls on the August 1 drawing. The odds of that happening are 1 in 962,598.

He bought his lucky Cash 5 ticket from Kelly’s located on N.C. 109 in High Point.

Lane arrived at lottery headquarters Thursday to claim the prize. After required state and federal tax withholdings, he took home $93,613.

The next Cash 5 drawing is on Friday with an estimated jackpot of $130,000.
