As college football takes to the field again, the lottery is teaming up with The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and NC State University to debut two new scratch-off games on Tuesday.

This partnership marks the first time the lottery has launched university-branded lottery games.

“We are excited about the potential of these games knowing that North Carolinians are extremely passionate about the UNC and NC State rivalry,” said Randy Spielman, chief product officer of the N.C. Education Lottery. “We can’t wait to see all the Tar Heel and Wolfpack faithful show off their school pride by trying their luck on these exciting new scratch-offs.”

The two scratch-offs, TAR HEELS ® and NC STATE®, are both $5 and offer two top prizes of $200,000. The combined total prizes between the two games exceeds $20 million. Each game also features a second-chance promotion giving winners access to VIP experiences with their favorite teams.

Both games also offer three different designs of each ticket so fans will want to collect them as souvenirs representing each school.

The overall odds to win a prize for each game are 1 in 4.16. The odds to win the $200,000 top prize are 1 in 1.44 million.
