New games hitting the shelves Tuesday!

We've got some exciting new games coming out next week. Who wants a sneak peek?

Tuesday's new game launch marks the return of an old favorite. Extreme Green is a $5 game with six top prizes of $200,000.The game is played by matching one of 15 numbers with one of four winning numbers. Players who reveal a “DOLLAR” symbol in the play area win the prize shown instantly. Those who reveal a “MONEYBAG” symbol win double the prize shown instantly. Revealing an “EXTREME” symbol wins the player $50 instantly. More than $16.7 million in prizes can be won in the game, including more than 64,000 prizes between $50 and $1,000.

Wanna spend a little less? Sterling Silver is a $2 ticket featuring six $20,000 top prizes and more than 47,000 prizes from $20 to $200. The game is played by matching one of 10 numbers with one of two winning numbers. Players who reveal a “SILVER BAR” symbol in the play area win the prize shown instantly. Those who reveal a “STAR” symbol win all 10 prizes instantly. More than $5 million in prizes can be won in the game.

If you want to get a jump on Valentines Day, we've got just the ticket. Love to Win! is a $1 game where players reveal symbols to win prizes. The game has 10 top prizes of $1,000. Players who reveal a “STAR” symbol win the prize shown. If a player reveals a “CUPID” symbol, they win all six prizes shown. The game contains more than 1 million winning tickets.

@MAGJAY - The Pick 3 and Pick 4 games are structured completely differently from Cash 5, which is a jackpot game with a rolling top prize. As you know, matching less than all three #'s in Pick 3 or all four #'s in Pick 4 doesnt result in a prize.

@ JUWANWON - Since you were there and we were not, we can't say for sure what happened. Our advice is to call our player hotline and explain what you saw. Thank you for posting this, we want to make sure that if you won a prize, you get your winnings.

I purchased three Sterling Silver scratch offs yesterday and won $12 on two of the tickets. I went back in the store to redeem them and the machine said they were not validated. The clerk called the store manager and he said I would have to come back the next day when the lottery headquarters would be open, so he could get them to take care of the problem. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before? To top it off the clerk ripped the first ticket she scanned into before she realized there was a problem with it. I will return today to see what happens, but I am curious about this ever happening before, and what is the reason for behind it.

Ijust tried the 3 new tickets released yesterday, again I purchased 10 of the $1.00, $2.00 and $5.00. I spent $80.00 and received $17.00; $3.00 on the $1.00 ticket, $4.00 on the $2.00 ticket and $10.00 on the $5.00 ticket. What gives????

Buffalodick,if the lottery is based on trust it will be going under before to long.Jesuton-Look at winners list.Winners are in the same areas or around the same area area.Durham,west and Goldsboro ,east.Look at this weeks winners on Powerball & Mega Million,same old areas.I would be ashamed to keep posting winners in the same area.All these people thinking they will be the next winners,will not happen unless you are planning on moving.

small winning odds are getting worse and worse on the $5 games.... $50 win has mostly been 1:60... now up to 1:100... I won't be buying this game... nope. The whole State Lottery is based on 'trust'.... mine is fading...

well 1rock2king. This may sound complex, but i have had most success with odd numbers 1-10 on a pack of tickets and even numbers 11-20, then odd again 21 and up....The older games like jumbo bucks and some of the older five dollar tickets still have good prizes left...Never had luck with the new five dollar ones as you mentioned you bought...Try my theory and see what could happen....Also, it seems most nice prizes on five dollar tickets are 13-17 and 40-45...Good luck! :)

hey,I bought three 5 dollar tickets, 150,000 grand tickets in a row,ticket numbers 26,27,28...ticket 26 had 10.00 dollar win,ticket number 27 no win,ticket number 28 had another 10.00 dollar win,spent 15.00 dollars,won 20.00,got my 15.00 dollars back plus 5.00 bucks to the good.I guess buying all your tickets in a row,SOMETIMES pay's off,but not all the time. just waiting on the BIG ONE to hit me. my group won 9.00 dollars on MEGA MILLIONS on Friday,better than nothing.First 2 draws,of the month,no wins at all....lucky day is coming!!!!

Odds for most tickets are 1 in 3.7 and up...Generally, it's best to buy at least four in a row to try and win something. The actual ticket numbers on the bottoms actually have meaning as well....Good luck! :)

i just want to win big on a scratch off, pick 3 or ick 4 i have been playing every since the lottery began 5 yrs ago the largest amount won 500.00 on a scratch-off and 790,00 on pick 3

i love playing Jumbo Bucks but it is a $10.00 game so I usually just buy one ticket but the other smaller amount games i play in multiples....i have a question when will NCEL be offering subscriptions like the NY Lottery, seems like it would make life a lot easier...?

@ MACMILLION - There are many different ball sets and different machines that are selected at random before every drawing; nobody knows in advance which ball sets or machines will be used. Yes, tests are done before and after each draw to ensure the equipment is functioning correctly. This is standard procedure in the lottery industry. The odds of winning are the same for the live draw when the winning numbers are drawn - any of the 1000 three-digit combinations has the same chance of being drawn for Pick 3, and any of the 10000 four-digit combinations have the same chance of being drawn as well.

@ STEVE - Not sure what information you're referring to? If you mean the top prizes remaining, we updated our website to show how many prizes are remaining for every scratch off game at every level - it updates once per day

@ VICKIE - We don't have statistics available on that, but based on conversations we have with players, it seems like more folks buy their tickets the day of the drawing. Many people buy their tickets in advance, too.

I usually buy 10 tickets each time new ones comes out. If I win on that ticket then I continue to buy it, if not I just stop. I feel that you should have a winner if you buy 10 in a row.

Depending on the amount of money I have and how fun the game looks. I buy multiples if I think I will like the game , I go to the nc-educationlottery site to determine if I should play . so I know how many winnings of the ticket are left ;) Ready to try these out though. . I just love scratching
