Mega Millions jackpot reaches $100 million

With Friday's jackpot estimated at $100 million, the Mega Millions jackpot has reached "triple digits" yet again. As the jackpot has rolled ten times over the last five weeks, North Carolina Mega Millions players have won more than $828,000 in prizes.

In less than two years since Mega Millions' arrival here, North Carolina has already had two multimillion jackpot winners. Eight more tickets have led to wins of $1 million and 22 tickets have turned into prizes of $250,000 to $500,000 for lucky players.

Will one 'perfect ticket' win it all? Will multiple tickets split the jackpot? Or will it roll yet again to an even larger jackpot? We'll be watching with you Friday night to find out.

@ JOAN - Yes, all the top prizes and other prizes remaining are listed on our website. Just click on the "Games" option, then "Instant Scratch Offs" and then pick the game you're interested in.

@ BRENDA - We have winners from all over the state; the biggest jackpot winner in North Carolina history is from Buncombe County and we've had lots of other prizes to the western part of the state as well. What county are you in? We can share more info if you let us know :-)

once in the while i play the same one combination along with my normal quick picks. i never change my minset of that combination. but looking at this jackpot amounts this morning. sheesh! someone win it already! this world need some change. hope the next winner be the change that this world need. homeless people break my heart!

@ 1ROCK2KING - Yeah, you're right, those dollar amounts are the TOTAL paid out to winners with those matches, not the individual prize payout. We're getting it straightened out. Thanks for asking...

hey,was checking my cash5 this morning,I notice the pay outs was kinda high,4 numbers out of 5 you win 8,198 dollars,win 3 out of 5 you win 4,620 dollars,and of course 2out of 5 one dollar is what I won. I hope that there is a mistake on it,cause I would love to have won that much..

ok, now is the time to play all my numbers. Also, to get Chinese food. The cookie will give my lucky number. I also saw a book for $3 you can buy which explains how to win a lot, but I got a scratch ticket instead. I also tried looking at the past month's hot and cold numbers one time. I didn't win but half the fun was doin' it

well, I took out my medicine bottles this morning,one filled with All the MEGA MILLONS numbers,the other filled with MEGA BALLS numbers. Then I empty all white mega balls in one bowl,then I emptied all the yellow MEGA BALLS into another bowl.Then I close my eyes and pick out each piece of paper with the numbers on them. I then lay all of them out to write down the numbers I've chosen. Then I play them numbers each week,no wins on any of them,I repeat the process again with new numbers.Trying anything to just win something big.Need to get out of this rut I'm in.I'm hoping THIS IS IT.....
