“To be the man, you’ve got to meet the man.”
We’re paraphrasing of course, but it seemed a fitting way to begin a blog post about the upcoming Ric Flair autograph session this weekend.
Wrestling superstar and North Carolina legend Ric Flair will be signing autographs at the Azalea Festival in Wilmington this Saturday, April 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is the first of four appearances that “The Nature Boy” will make at festivals across the state to promote his newest scratch-off game Wooooo! II. There are four more top prizes left to be won in the game as Phyllis Linkous of Valdese, NC scratched off the first $100,000 prize earlier this week.
Here’s how to score a chance to meet Ric and get an autograph to cherish for years to come:
Be one of the first 250 fans in line to receive a wristband, which guarantees an autograph. Only one wristband is allowed per person, so if your friends want to meet Ric, they’ll have to stand in line as well. We suggest passing the time in line by practicing your Woooo! yell.
More fans may have the ability to get autographs, depending on time constraints. The NCEL can make no guarantees past the first 250 fans that will receive wristbands. Children (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult, and only one item per person will be signed.
If you can’t make it out to Wilmington this weekend, you’ve got three more chances to meet Ric this spring:
