North Carolina’s jackpot game has two new jackpot winners after a pair Cash 5 tickets matched all five numbers in Monday’s drawing to win $130,642 each. One lucky ticket was purchased at Cruizers on Latta Road in Durham. The other was sold at the Kangaroo Express on Randleman Road in Greensboro. Whoever purchased the tickets has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prize.
One of the three tickets to win $10,000 over the weekend was also sold in Greensboro at the Quality Mart on Battleground Avenue. Another Powerball ticket worth $10,000 was sold at Mr. Pete's Market IX on Asheville Highway in Hendersonville in Henderson County.
Staying in the mountains, the third $10,000 prize won this weekend went to the Mega Millions player who bought a ticket at Stanley’s BP in Marshall, which is in Madison County. Just last week, the largest lottery prize ever awarded to a Madison County player went to a $50,000 Junior Big Ol’ Bucks winner from Mars Hill.
With last night’s Cash 5 winners, the jackpot for Tuesday’s drawing resets to $50,000. The other jackpots rolled, pushing Tuesday’s Mega Millions jackpot to an estimated $37 million. Meanwhile, the Powerball jackpot is over $100 million for the first time since August 10, estimated at $107 million for Wednesday’s drawing.
Good luck, North Carolina!
