TV64 in Charlotte to air Education Lottery drawings

We have good news to share with our players in the Charlotte region: Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 24, lottery drawings will be shown nightly on TV64 (WAXN-TV). TV64 is the sister station of WSOC-TV and will air the drawings between 11 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. each night. Winning numbers will also be available during morning and noon newscasts on WSOC-TV.

TV64 will broadcast the drawings for Powerball and Mega Millions, as well as our state's draw games: Pick 3, Pick 4, and Cash 5. Here is the schedule of drawings that the station will follow:

Powerball drawings will air at the first commercial break during the station’s 11 p.m. “Access Hollywood” program on Wednesdays and “the Insider” program on Saturdays.
Mega Millions drawings will air at the first commercial break during the station’s 11 p.m. “Access Hollywood” program on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Carolina Cash 5, Carolina Pick 4 and Carolina Pick 3 drawings will air nightly between 11:22 p.m. and 11:35 p.m.

Winning numbers will also be provided on TV64’s morning news between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and on WSOC-TV’s morning and noon newscasts. A video replay of the afternoon drawings of Carolina Pick 3 and Carolina Pick 4 will be posted each day on the websites of TV64 and WSOC-TV after the 3 p.m. drawings are held.

TV64 joins the NCEL’s network of five draw stations that broadcast the nightly drawings throughout the state.

@ EVERYONE - The Lucke Rewards drawings were held as scheduled and the winners have been notified by e-mail. Make sure to check the e-mail account that you have listed with your Lucke-Zone account. The winners' names will be announced only after they come to a regional claim center to complete the claims process.

@ JERRY - Thanks for the question about the Carolina Cash 5 Bonus Bucks drawing. The Nov. 7 deadline means entries created all day on Nov. 7 will be valid for the Nov. 14 drawing. Entries created the following day will be valid for the NEXT Bonus Bucks drawing.

mmmmy question is pertaining to the Cash 5 Bonus Bucks Drawing...... It says "November 7, 2012 is the entry deadline for the drawing on November 14, 2012" Does that include the tickets printed on November 7th? or only those printed before the 7th?

@ PLAYER (K) - If you're referring to a game-specific second-chance drawing like Holiday Millions, the lottery will attempt to reach the $3 million winner by telephone. If you are referring to Lucke Rewards drawings, your statement is correct that the lottery will first attempt to reach the winners by the e-mail address for their Lucke Zone account. If that is unsuccessful, then attempts are made by telephone. If that doesn't work, the lottery sends certified mail. Best of luck!

How will the winners be notified if they win the second chance drawing? I am sure it will be sent to the email account you have on file, but will you receive a phone call as well?

@ PLAYER (KS) - The lottery has explored the idea of adding Keno to games offered in North Carolina, but there has been no decision or further steps taken right now toward bringing Keno to our state.

To answer your question about the drawings airing in Charlotte, were you watching between 11:22 p.m. and 11:35 p.m? We don't understand your question about the drawings being online, you can always see the results and watch the drawings on our website.

@ EARL2212 - There are plans to add non-winning tickets to the Lucke Rewards program in the future, but no specifics on when that will happen. When an official announcement is made, the lottery will let folks know about saving tickets. In the meantime - best of luck! :-)
