New games celebrate lucky number 7

Since ancient times, the number seven has been considered lucky. What better way to celebrate the new year than with a group of new instant scratch-off tickets featuring the most famous lucky number? Keep your eyes open on January 2nd for these hot new games.

Ruby Red 7’s is a $10 game with four $1 million prizes and more than $32.5 million in total prizes. The game is played by matching any of 15 numbers to any of six winning numbers. Revealing a “black 7” symbol wins the player the prize shown and revealing a “red 7” symbol wins triple the prize shown. Two bonus areas give players the chance to win either $50 or $100 instantly.

At $5 per ticket, Power 7’s offers six chances to win a $200,000 prize. The game features more than 289,000 prizes from $20 to $20,000 and a chance to win up to 15 times per ticket. Revealing a “blue 7” symbol wins double the prize shown. The game begins with more than $19 million in total prizes.

Want to try your luck for just a buck? Lucky 7’s is a $1 game with 12 top prizes of $7,000 and more than $4.4 million in total prizes. Players must reveal three “7” symbols in the same row, column or diagonal line to win the prize shown. The game launches with more than 1,600 prizes of $100.

@ MIMI45 - You make a similar comment to this on most blogs that we post - have you ever seen our response? Gastonia players have exactly the same chance to win as players anywhere else. There is no place in North Carolina where any individual player has an advantage or disadvantage playing games of chance from the lottery. @ THOWARD46 - The Cash 5 jackpot is split equally among all the tickets that match 5 out of 5 numbers. A Powerball or Mega Millions jackpot is split equally among all the tickets that match 6 out of 6 numbers. The odds of matching all five white balls playing Cash 5 are 1 in 575,757; the odds of matching five white balls in PB are about 1 in 5.1 million, and in MM are about 1 in 3.9 million... in gaming, when the risk is greater (longer odds), the potential reward is usually greater (larger prize).

I would like to know why do the cash 5 winners have to split the prize if its 2 or more winners but if you are playing the powerball or the mega millions and 2 people happen to match 5 numbers the prize amount isnt split, both players get 1 million dollars each why isnt that split?

@ DONNA - When you make an entry into a Lucke Rewards drawing, it is only for one drawing. The entries do not roll; in order to have a chance in another drawing, you'd need to use new points to make a new entry.

Just purchased my first Ruby Red 7's ticket today. Ticket number 001, I said to myself, that's a loser for sure. But guess what! I won my 10 dollars back on it. Guess that's better than losing it. Just wish it would have been the 1 mil. If I took the annuity, do you have any idea what the yearly amount would be? I know the cash option was 600,000...but after taxes, only 400,000. Would like to know the yearly amount,or does that depend on the stock market at the time It's claim. tks!

Lots of people think 13 is unlucky; so my dad made it his lucky number. Jennifer above is right - ‘Ruby Red 7s’ ($10) are pretty tickets. I felt guilty scratching up something so glam/fancy. I like that it’s two games in one too.

Well, I can finally come here and say that I have won money this week from one of my pick 4 numbers and lucky 7's. I and thankful to have won something this week. My winnings was a total of $320 and I was happy with that.

Ruby Red 7's sure are not paying anything. I purchased 6 in a row tonight won nothing. Purchased 8 of the $5.00 Greetings of Gold Monday or Tuesday, won nothing, but there again I am in Jacksonville, so it's no surprise. What is even more odd, when there is a so called big winner in J'ville, no one ever claims the prize !

@ BIGDADDY - Not sure where you heard that, but it isn't true. Winning tickets and non-winning tickets are distributed at random throughout the entire printing run of each game, and nobody has any idea where a winning ticket will show up until the player scratches it off.

HHMMMMmmmm. Let's see. There are roughly 40 to 100 ticket sales locations in every city. Not to mention big cities. Times that by the number of counties in NC and I can tell your odds of hitting a big ticket are pretty good. You got a better chance of getting bitten by a shark and struck by lightning at the same time than getting a winning ticket. lol.. fools.!!!
