Two $1 Mega Millions tickets won big on Friday night. The first, sold at the Harris Teeter on South Glenburnie Road in New Bern, matched four white balls and the Mega Ball to win $10,000. The other ticket matched all five white balls to win $250,000. It was sold at Winn’s Express on Old Lenoir Road in Hickory.
As of Monday morning, the $250,000-winning Mega Millions ticket for the Feb. 10 drawing is still “at large.” It was sold at the JP Wilkesboro on U.S. 421 in Wilkesboro. The jackpot for the Tuesday, Feb. 21 Mega Millions drawing is estimated at $72 million.
Two Power Play tickets in Saturday’s Powerball drawing matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $40,000 each. They were sold at the Lowe’s Foods on Widewaters Parkway in Knightdale, and at the Shop N Go on N.C. 171 in Washington.
We still have yet to meet a pair of $1 million Powerball winners. Those tickets were sold in Jacksonville for the Feb. 4 drawing and in Durham for the Feb. 7 drawing. The jackpot for the Wednesdsay, Feb. 22 Powerball drawing is estimated at $60 million.
The lottery reminds winning ticketholders to sign their tickets immediately to establish ownership. Draw game winners have 180 days from the date of a drawing to claim prizes.
