There were some big wins in North Carolina this weekend – and we’re not talking about the basketball games! Carrie Eggars of Jacksonville wasted no time heading to the Wilmington claim center Monday morning to collect the $50,000 Cash 5 jackpot she won on Friday night. Players won a total of $77,907 in the drawing. Eggars purchased her lucky ticket at the Kangaroo Express on Lejeune Boulevard in Jacksonville.
The same night, a Mega Millions ticket sold in Forsyth County matched four white balls and the Mega Ball. Because the ticket had the $1 Megaplier feature and the Megaplier was four, the ticket is worth $40,000. It was sold at the Food Lion on Old Hollow Road in Walkertown. In all, North Carolina players won $191,781 in the drawing.
A pair of big-winning tickets matched four white balls and the Powerball to win $10,000 each in Saturday’s Powerball drawing. They were sold at the Carlie C’s IGA on Bragg Boulevard in Fayetteville, and at the Smoker Friendly on Pinewood Plaza Drive in Granite Falls in Caldwell County. Lucky Powerball players won $187,977 statewide.

Thanks for your replies! Please forgive the incorrect spelling in my post. I will buy tickets soon! BTW, I do believe the lottery is doing their part...not as sure with the elected officials, but it doesn't keep me from playing ;)
I'll continue to play. To date we have had a new elementary school built, but as far as teacher salaries go...it must have been used to retain current employees because we a losing massive amounts of teachers in our county. aybe luck will come my way when it is time.
I have played my same MM#s, but at a different store in Vance Co. I have been consistent with playing my #s and hope it will hit sooner than later! Our schools desparately need more funds. Vance Co hasn't hit a jackpot since 2010 with Cash 5... I'm crossing my fingers.
