Brunswick, Orange County tickets split Cash 5 jackpot

Two Carolina Cash 5 tickets matched all five numbers in the June 11 drawing to split the $50,000 jackpot. The winning numbers for the drawing were: 1-8-23-36-39.

The tickets, worth $25,000 apiece, were sold at the Calabash Citgo on Beach Drive in Calabash (Brunswick County) and Ken's Quickie Mart on N.C. 86 North in Hillsborough (Orange County).

In all, 10,192 tickets in the drawing won $71,537 in prizes. The lottery advises players with winning tickets to sign them immediately, but reminds winners they have 180 days from the date of a drawing to collect prizes.
