Carolina Cash 5 is North Carolina's jackpot game. For the second time in ten days, a ticket sold on the same road in Winston-Salem has hit the jackpot.
The most recent winning ticket, worth $106,339 in the June 24 drawing, was sold at the Quality Mart at 2805 Reynolda Road. The winning numbers for the drawing were 6-14-16-18-27. Because the prize is worth more than $99,999, the ticketholder must claim at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.
The winner of $96,552 in the June 14 drawing has already collected his winnings at the lottery's Greensboro claim center. Perry Hairston of Winston-Salem bought his winning ticket at the Family Fare at 3836 Reynolda Road.
Carolina Cash 5 drawings are held every night with a rolling jackpot that starts at $50,000. The odds of matching all five numbers to win the jackpot are 1 in 575,757. Players with winning tickets have 180 days from the date of a drawing to collect prizes.
Another ticket sold in the Triad won big on Saturday night: A Powerball ticket sold at Kennedy's Korner on Friendship Church Road in McLeansville matched four white balls and the Powerball. Because it is a $1 Power Play ticket, it is worth $40,000. The winning numbers were 1-3-41-44-53 and 30 for the Powerball.
