There’s a buzz up by the Virginia border in Stoneville, North Carolina. That’s where the Garrett Mini Mart sold a Carolina Cash 5 ticket worth $244,086. The ticket matched all five numbers (3-10-16-31-36) in the June 30 drawing to win the jackpot.
“We haven’t had anything this big in Stoneville in quite some time,” said Nancy Craddock, the store manager. “This is a small town.”
Craddock said she and “The Garrett Girls” – the store’s staff – are happy for the winner.
“We have a lot of good people that come in here,” she added. “When the news got out that night, we had a lot of customers that were very excited.”
If it turns out the lucky ticketholder lives in Rockingham County, it would mark the third Carolina Cash 5 jackpot awarded to a resident there. In 2007, Cash 5 players from Madison and Reidsville claimed $50,000 and $362,984 jackpots, respectively.
The jackpot winner of the June 30 drawing has 180 days from the date of the drawing to collect the prize money.

I happy for you, we wished for something like that in Goldsboro for powerballs. Pick 5 tickets are subjected to NC local area, so maybe this were the money is at.
