A single ticket sold in Michigan captured the $337 million Powerball jackpot on Wednesday night.
Wednesday's night's winning numbers were 6, 27, 46, 51, 56 and the Powerball was 21.
The jackpot was estimated at $320 million, but as the drawing began it was announced that it had risen to $337 million. At that size, the jackpot became the third largest in Powerball history.
In North Carolina, five tickets matched four out of the five white balls and matched the Powerball and they are valued at $10,000 each. The lucky tickets were sold at:
- Family Food Mart, Malcolm Boulevard, Rutherford College.
- Tmart, Cumberland Street, Dunn.
- Kangaroo Express, Tryon Road, Cary.
- Market Center, Hendersonville Road, Asheville.
- Hanuman Market, Riceville Road, Asheville.
The winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.
The Powerball jackpot will reset to $40 million for the Saturday, Aug. 18 drawing.
