Charlotte woman buys Lucky 7’s ticket for $1, wins $7,000

Have you tried the lottery’s new instant scratch-off tickets that feature the famous number seven? Crystal Screen of Charlotte bought a Lucky 7’s ticket for $1 – and won $7,000! Screen said she felt “elated and blessed” to win.

She bought her winning Lucky 7’s ticket at the Express Stop on University City Boulevard. As of Tuesday morning, 11 top prizes of $7,000 are unclaimed in the game.

The new games – Lucky 7’s, Power 7’s, and Ruby Red 7’s – went on sale Jan. 2 in stores across North Carolina. Check out our previous blog for more about these scratch-offs. We wish everyone the best of luck scratching and matching.
