Powerball drawings brings big prizes

Wednesday night’s drawing led to a Powerball ticket worth $1 million being sold in Greensboro. The ticket, which matched all five white balls, was sold at the Fairway One Stop on South Elm Eugene Street. The ticket’s owner beat odds of 1 in 5.1 million to win the $1 million prize.

Three tickets in the drawing matched four white balls and the red Powerball and are worth $10,000 each. The lucky tickets were sold at the Wilco on MLK Jr. Boulevard in Chapel Hill, the Travel Store on John Small Avenue in Washington and at the Sheetz on Thornton Road in Raleigh. Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prizes.

This Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is $133 million if taken as an annuity or $76 million as a lump sum.

You no really who cares the jackpots start out bigger give us better odds so more people can WIN ! Scratch offs should have a little larger amounts on the $1,2,3 scratch offs!

@ Player (Dadivanme) We try to list the location of where lucky tickets are sold. So keep reading and you will see some of the lucky stores in your area. Remember. Luck can happen anywhere at anytime and lottery games are set up to be as random as possible. We don't keep a list like you refer to. If you have a specific request, you can submit a public records request and we will provide that info if it is available.
