This week ended with a bang as a $1 million Powerball winner and a big Cash 5 winner came by on Thursday and Friday, which helped boost the amount paid out to lottery winners this week to more than $22.1 million.
The biggest winner this week was Kenneth Florence of Greensboro, who matched all five white balls in Wednesday's Powerball drawing, winning a $1 million prize. “When I saw I had won, I felt so much relief that I could take care of the things I need to take care of,” Florence said as he collected his winnings on Thursday.
Dorothy Bundy of Jacksonville plans to tackler her "bucket list" after winning Thursday night's $855,949 Cash 5 jackpot. She plans to go to Disney World, go whitewater rafting and take a cruise to the Bahamas. “Those are things I’ve always wanted to do,” Bundy said. “This money will help me do what I want to do and what I need to do. And it gives me security. I already feel more relaxed.”
A woman from Cleveland in Rowan County plans to pay bills and save for the future after winning $200,000 playing 20X The Cash. “I was sitting there at my kitchen table and I kept looking at the ticket,” Deborah Dickerson said as she collected her winnings.
The first week of sales led to seven players winning $10,000 in the $120 Million Cash game. Winners included Richard Brucker of Lowell,John Butcher of Harmony, Gene Campbell of North Wilkesboro, Frank Gin of Fayetteville, Loren Henderson of Raleigh, Nathaniel Myers of Rocky Mount and Justin Norman of Lawndale.

It seems to me all the winners are in the eastern part of the state. Why is that?
how on earth did someone have 500,000,00 in second chance drawings if i had that much money i sure would'nt be putting it in lottery tickets saw this on one of the blogs! Just wondering!
