Fayetteville is on a lucky streak! In last night’s Powerball drawing, someone purchased a ticket that’s worth $1 million.
The ticket, sold at the Kangaroo Express on Ft. Bragg Road, matched all five white balls but not the Powerball, beating odds of 1 in 5.1 million.
The five winning white numbers for the drawing were: 2-36-40-49-54. The winner has 180 days from the drawing to collect his or her jackpot.
No one matched all six numbers in Wednesday’s drawing. Saturday’s jackpot jumped to an estimated $60 million if paid as an annuity or $35 million if taken as a lump sum.
Fayetteville’s lucky streak began on Oct. 16 when Martin Hughes won $3 million playing the $120 Million Cash game. Then, on Oct. 28, Jose Belardo scratched off a $150,000 prize on his Bonus Jackpot ticket.
