Additional MONOPOLY second-chance drawings coming up

Feedback from Lucke-Zone members – whether it is a positive comment, constructive criticism, or a thoughtful question – helps us give you the best lottery experience possible. We'd like to thank member KathyC for helping us realize we needed to clarify some information posted on Nov. 22 about the MONOPOLY second-chance drawings.

In that blog, it was stated that the final drawings for the $2, $5 and $10 MONOPOLY games would be held on Dec. 4. Those drawings were held Wednesday as scheduled and winners are typically notified by e-mail within 48 hours of the drawing. However, it was only the final drawing for the $2 game, because that game is ending soon.

The $5 and $10 games are not ending yet. So the monthly drawings for those games will continue. The upcoming dates are:

Entry began on Dec. 1 with an entry deadline of Dec. 31 for the Jan. 8 drawing.
Entry begins on Jan. 1 with an entry deadline of Jan. 31 for the Feb. 5 drawing.
Entry begins on Feb. 1 with an entry deadline of Feb. 28 for the March 5 drawing.

You can enter one of the $5 drawings for a chance to win $5,000 and enter one of the $10 drawings for a chance to win $10,000. When you enter a non-winning MONOPOLY ticket for either the $5 or $10 game, you'll receive Lucke-Rewards points and be automatically entered to win for that game's second-chance drawing.

@ SANDY - We've talked with you often here on the blog, so you should not be surprised that we post and respond to your comment! Number one, the NC Lottery was not actually involved in making the changes to the Mega Millions game. But, there is more to the changes than the odds of winning the jackpot changing... the second-level prizes were boosted from $250,000 to $1 million, which means if you Megaply, you could win $4 million... North Carolina had the first $3 million Mega Millions winner in history last month, just weeks after the new game started. We are sorry to hear the changes don't suit you, but we hope there are other games you and your husband will enjoy playing.

Me and my husband have stoped playing Mega you all knew that by adding more numbers people arent gona win till that jackpot is really high why dont you give people a real chance to win i no we would lots better win even a few thousand and let more people win come on one ,2,even 3 people winning that more money any one person could ever spend in a life time do a pole i bet millions of people would agree that way more people have a better chance of winning this way ! @ PLAYER (ELABOSHA) - We do not tell people exactly what the e-mail says because we don't want to give scammers a playbook to take advantage of people... basically just remember that the lottery never asks for your personal information, or asks you to send money, or anything like that. The e-mail will clearly be from the lottery and typically we ask the winner to get in touch with us. If after 48 hours of sending the e-mail we don't hear from someone, we call and/or send certified mail if necessary.. so don't worry! :-)

@ PLAYER (PEARSONDORIS) - Winners in Lucke-Rewards and game-specific second-chance drawings are first notified by e-mail, usually within 48 hours, at the address associated with their Lucke-Zone account. If we don't hear back we attempt to reach a winner by telephone and, if necessary, certified mail. If you need assistance with the Lucke-Zone website, please call technical customer service at 800-201-0108

@ RED - Well, that's sort of how Lucke-Rewards drawings work... they give all your draw game tickets and all your non-winning scratch-off tickets a chance to be redeemed for more points for more chances to win! :-) We hope to offer more games with game-specific second-chance drawings for players like you though. :-)

When you receive an email from the NCEL stating that you won, what should you be looking for? So many times one can overlook an email, how is the winning email titled,e.g., a name, or NCEL Winner, etc? I wouldn't want to overlook a winning email. Thank You!:)

Spring Hope is not in Franklin County,it is in Nash County.Bunn,Centerville,Franklinton,Louisburg and Youngsville are the only towns in Franklin County
