Loyal football fans are on the edge of their seats for every snap. During the 2012 season, one lucky Carolina Panthers fan at every home game won in the lottery’s Carolina Cash 5 Lucky Seat promotion. Right away the winners got a lottery prize pack with a duffle bag, Carolina Cash 5 T-shirt, Powerball hat, sunglasses, and more.
Besides the game day prize pack, winners had the chance on Saturday, Feb. 9 to bring guests with them on a behind-the-scenes tour of Bank of America Stadium where the Panthers play home games.
Tour-takers went inside the team’s weight room, where star players like Cam Newton and Steve Smith get ready to play. The tour also made stops at press row, the media room, and the broadcast booth which has hosted legendary announcers such as John Madden and Pat Summerall.
“My favorite part was seeing the expressions on the winners’ faces,” said Dustin Kilpatrick, a lottery promotions specialist. “They went places that normally only players and media get to see.”
