Expectant mom in Edgecombe County gets $5,000 surprise

Few life experiences compare to the arrival of a healthy, happy baby. That’s what we wish for Jessica Prince, a waitress from Tarboro who is expecting. As that special day comes closer, we are glad to say that she got another little bundle of joy: The $5,000 prize she won playing Jumbo Bucks.

Prince collected her winnings at the lottery’s regional claim center in Greenville. There, she said she was very happy when she realized she won and plans to use her prize money to buy things for the baby. She purchased her winning ticket at the Turner Mini Mart on Benvenue Road in Rocky Mount.
