Beaufort County woman’s $1 million win ‘a dream come true’: An assistant prekindergarten teacher from Washington is the first player to win $1 million in the lottery’s new $4,000,000 Gold Bullion game. “It’s like a load has been lifted off my shoulders,” Brenda Corprew said.
Greensboro woman wins $1 million instantly: Cameron Carlton is the third player to win big playing the 20X the Money game. She purchased her winning ticket at the Quick Shop Gas Stop on High Point Road in Greensboro.
Guilford County woman wins $1,000 a Week for Life scratch-off prize: Frances Landrum is the second player to win the top prize in the $1,000 a Week for Life! game.
Greenville man says $232,375 jackpot is ‘best birthday present’: David Cook says winning a Carolina Cash 5 jackpot means he can pay off all his bills, buy a new car, and save for retirement. He celebrated his birthday just three days before winning big in the Feb. 15 drawing.
Raleigh woman collects $158,768 Carolina Cash 5 jackpot: “It’s just a shock to me,” said Pamela Storey. “It’s like when you wake up in the morning and you’ve dreamed something.” She plans to buy a car, help pay for her son’s education, and save for the future.
Charlotte man wins $100,000 playing new scratch-off game: On Friday morning, Brad Simmons heard about a new instant scratch-off game called $4,000,000 Gold Bullion. He stopped at the PC Mart on The Plaza in Charlotte to try his luck with the game – and won $100,000.
Besides the seven biggest winners above, seven more players won large instant prizes recently. They are:
- Bruce McRae of Fayetteville, who won $40,000 playing Big Money
- Roland Atkinson of Magnolia, who won $30,000 playing Money Mania
- Stephanie Mellette of Sanford, who won $21,000 playing Blackjack Tripler
- Tonya Hodges of Aberdeen, who won $20,000 playing $4,000,000 Gold Bullion
- Brentley Shaffer of Vale, who won $20,000 playing Power 7’s
- Ralph Larsen of Sanford, who won $10,000 playing Ruby Red 7’s
- Carl Williams of Faison, who won $10,000 playing $200,000 a Year for Life
Finally, three more Cash 5 winners collected big prizes this week. Two players split the Feb. 20 Carolina Cash 5 jackpot to win $59,947 each. The winners are Signora Torain of Roxboro and Clifton Outlaw of Deep Run. Cash 5 player Joy Corprew of Pinetown won the $66,643 jackpot in the Feb. 17 drawing.
