Deadline nears for third $50,000 ‘Bonus Bucks’ drawing

Attention Carolina Cash 5 players: If you want an extra chance to win as much as $50,000 in the third Bonus Bucks drawing, the deadline is coming fast. Cash 5 Bonus Bucks entry slips issued before 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, March 13 will be valid for the March 20 drawing. In all, five prizes will be awarded: Three $1,000 prizes, one $5,000 prize, and one $50,000 grand prize.

It’s easy to be eligible to win. To get any entry slip for a Bonus Bucks drawing, make a $5 Cash 5 purchase in one of the two following ways:

Select five sets of numbers for one drawing on a single ticket purchase
Choose one set of numbers for five drawings on a single ticket purchase

When you do this, an entry slip will be automatically generated (at no extra cost) along with your separate $5 Carolina Cash 5 ticket. Make sure to get your Cash 5 ticket and your entry slip at the time of purchase – and keep them both. After all, both could make you a winner!

Bonus Bucks entry slips issued after March 13 will be valid for the next drawing. Here is the schedule. Note that the entry deadline and drawing date have been changed for the fourth Bonus Bucks drawing:

Draw #3 - Entry Deadline: March 13, 2013 Drawing Date: March 20, 2013
Draw #4 - Entry Deadline: May 27, 2013 Drawing Date: June 3, 2013
Draw #5 - Entry Deadline: July 17, 2013 Drawing Date: July 24, 2013

To find out the five prize-winning numbers selected in the random drawing, check the Bonus Bucks page on the lottery’s website on March 20, or call the lottery’s customer service hotline at 877-962-7529. Prizes won in the Bonus Bucks drawings must be claimed at one of the lottery’s regional claim centers, or by mail. That means winners’ names will be announced only after that process is completed.

Make sure you’ve got your entries before midnight on Wednesday, and best of luck to all.

@ PLAYER (JH) - The fact that time passes before the lottery can make an announcement about who won in a lottery drawing does not affect the fairness of the drawing or the Lucke-Rewards program. It is still more chances to win at no extra cost to players. The status of a drawing that's already been held has no effect on whether or not you can choose to enter more drawings for more chances to win. Good answer to question about why it takes so long to find out who won second-chance draw but its a little unfair because the weeks you wait to find out waiting before you enter the same one you done missed two weeks of drawings .can you even enter the next week draw when its still showing you in the draw for the week before its like you may be waisting tickets .

What you have to understand is that winners do not always respond quickly to the lottery's notifications and, even if they do, the claims process still has to be completed before the lottery can announce who won. While we'd like to share the info as quickly as possible, speed is not as important as doing things according to the rules in a way that is fair to players who've entered for a chance to win. You should get used to the fact that it may take days or even weeks for the winner in a drawing to be announced.

Whether you've never played the lottery, have played once before, or many times before, your odds of winning never get better or worse; it will always take a lot of luck to win a prize playing the lottery whether its a draw game, scratch-off game, or Lucke-Rewards drawing. @ MAYBABY - The $236,451-winning Cash 5 jackpot ticket from the March 14 drawing was sold at the Pinebluff Mini Mart on North Walnut Street in Pinebluff, which is in Moore County. Often players come in soon after a drawing to claim prizes, but draw game winners have 180 days to claim, and sometimes folks don't even realize that they've won right away!

No lucke in the drawings for me, I am going to have to cut back on that deal too. Pick 3 and 4 just will not pay me, open up my email and it was blank. I have to say of all the states lottery none seem to have so may repeats as NC does. I get the same quick pick 2 to 3 times a week. I hope lucke zone can understand the frustration of the NC lottery is for some of the investors who want to receive back what they put into it and not all that odds stuff.

well, done got me a bunch of scratch off's and a whole lot of draw tickets. Store Clerk said I can have them all out of the trash can in the store. Done enter my 30 tickets for today, going have to wait for tomorrow for the rest. I have enough of draw tickets to enter for the rest of the week. Let's see 30 entries a day until Friday. Have 779 points right now, probably will be close to a thousand points on Friday..Getting pretty fast typing in numbers and letters. Maybe my luck will change when I get to enter them points into Some drawings. Hope to win soon!!

Still no response as to who won the 3/13/2013 $2,500 lucke zone drawing. I'm really not sure as to why it takes so long to get this information if the drawing isn't rigged? If the Bonus Bucks numbers are listed, why can't the entry numbers that were selected be listed on the website. Everytime a player enters a drawing, and if they have set up their emails to receive the information, they would get an entry number. If a drawing is to be on a certain day, and the entry number is posted, it shouldn't matter about verification. I think the process needs to be better since the next drawing is 3/20/2013, and we haven't even learned the results of last weeks.

@ ROMEO - You have to keep in mind that there are thousands of Lucke-Zone members from all across North Carolina entering drawings for a chance to win. With games of chance, you're never guaranteed to win - only a fair chance to win. Folks like you in Roxboro have the same chance as anybody else, no better and no worse, of winning playing lottery games. @ DEEP1 - The odds of matching the winning numbers in a Pick 3 drawing are exactly 1 in 1000, and exactly 1 in 10,000 in a Pick 4 drawing... in any state, anywhere, any time. The laws of physics and randomness do not vary by state. If more players happen to win more or less prizes in North Carolina or another state in a particular drawing, its due to the fact that X number of players happened to be lucky enough to choose the winning numbers that were drawn at random and nothing else.

NC pick 3 and pick 4 leave a lot to be desired. I know they say there is no science to it, but Virginia is drawing the trips and quad every time I look around. A lot of players around the border go over to Virginia and play their number games.They say they win more from what I've been told. So if players are not winning, they will stop playing. Simple as that.

I feel the drawings for all the second chance games are rigged.I have submitted at least a hundred in the 5 for 5 and nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!.I live in Roxboro and I searched the drawings and we are not even in the drawing for nothing,nothing ever!!!!!!!.i play a lot but i;m at the giving up point because I feel it's just another trap to get people to spend their money.Don't get me wrong I am responsible for my spending but I know when things are not right.I know a lot of people play here in ROxboro but never a name you will ever see in the drawings.forget it,I feel that is the best thing fo a lot of people to do!!!!!!!!!!! I think that with the lottery ticket that was stolen, the money should be put to good use in giving it either to the families who lost loved ones that got killed in the last school shooting, or to Mississippi to the families who are without homes or people who need help due to the tragic storm.

The $1 million the lottery successfully recovered in that case will be ADDED to a future $10 scratch-off game as an extra $1 million prize players will have a chance to win!!! (So, for example, if the new game were to have six top prizes of $1 million built into it, it will have seven instead!)

I keep it simple. I get a $5 ticket every 5 days. Make sure you tell them you want it for 5 draws (5 days) . If you just get a $5 ticket they will give you a ticket with 5 sets of numbers for that nights drawing. Which I do when the jackpt is really big!You MUST tell the clerk what you want.

Don't know where to post this so here it goes. Since the guy whole stole the one million dollar lottery ticket pled guilty, why not give that million dollars out as another raffle or lucky rewards drawing or stick it in a batch of tickets that's still being printed or reordered. I don't think it was paid out to his girlfriend so it's basically a winner that was stolen, very different than one that has not been claimed or bought. If done as a drawing I would think that 10 numbers of $100,000 each would be a neat idea. Just thinking out loud. Thanks NC Lottery!

Make sure you buy in $5 increments. When the cash 5 was on record pace a friend bought a $20 ticket. He only got one bonus entry ticket. He did not know and the clerk failed to tell him. That has been metioned online many times. Not everyone is online though, so tell your friends and coworkers to play smart.
