Toyota Tundra added to next ‘Bonus Bucks’ drawing

Race fans love fun and excitement. That’s why the lottery teamed up with Charlotte Motor Speedway to offer folks the chance to win more in the 4th Cash 5 Bonus Bucks Drawing. The grand prize winner will not only win $50,000 but also a 2013 Toyota Tundra.

This mighty machine has a 381 horsepower V8 engine under the hood. Passengers in the double cab interior will enjoy the comfort of front bucket seats and dual zone air conditioning. The exterior is painted silver sky metallic with chrome bumpers and fog lamps. Tech enthusiasts will like the USB port with iPod connectivity and hands-free phone capability.

The addition of the Tundra as a bonus prize is all about the “10 Greatest Days in Racing” coming up at Charlotte Motor Speedway. May is Motorsports Month here in North Carolina, and it kicks off in a big way with the N.C. Education Lottery 200 Camping World Truck Series Race on May 17. The Bonus Bucks Toyota Tundra will be at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the NCEL 200 and the other big races speeding closer on the calendar.

It’s easy to be eligible to win. To get any entry slip for a Bonus Bucks drawing, make a $5 Cash 5 purchase in one of the two following ways:

Select five sets of numbers for one drawing on a single ticket purchase
Choose one set of numbers for five drawings on a single ticket purchase

When you do this, an entry slip will be automatically generated (at no extra cost) along with your separate $5 Carolina Cash 5 ticket. Make sure to get your Cash 5 ticket and your entry slip at the time of purchase – and keep them both. After all, both could make you a winner!

Bonus Bucks entry slips issued now through May 27 will be good for the fourth drawing set for June 3. Make sure to get your entries in for the chance to win $50,000 and a 2013 Toyota Tundra.

With more people playing for a chance to win, it is logical that you'd often see winning tickets from these areas. It's a fact that there are more people playing for a chance to win in the central and western part of the state - but ask those folks if it's been their experience that it's somehow easier to win the lottery than where you live - our best prediction is that they'll tell you it takes a lot of luck where they live, too!

did anyone notice that all bonus buck winners are from eastern state. not one from the mountains or small towns. Had 108 chances in first drawing. 147 in second and 162 in this one, but all were from western nc. What use is it to try?

I some what agree with Latiere about the Bonus Bucks drawings. I don't mind the retailers being listed, but it seems that the winning entries come from Central NC most of the time. It's the same with most winning scratch off tickets as well. Maybe the selection process for the Bonus Bucks winners could also be queried by region. I'm sure there is a way to filter the retailer numbers by region, thus having regional drawings as well. The smaller populations on extreme ends of the state are seemingly not as fortunate.

@ LATIERE - Sorry to hear that it sounds like you did not win in the Bonus Bucks drawing. The lottery provides the selling retailer info as a service to players, the same as we do after a Cash 5, Powerball or Mega Millions drawing, to let folks know where the winning ticket was sold. There's no perfect way after a lottery drawing is held to inform everyone who played that only a select few entries won prizes, while the rest did not. That's the nature of games of chance and we appreciate everyone playing for the chance to win.

What happens if a clerk doesn't give you the entry ticket with your purchase ..called back to store lady said she'd look around and ask one who sold ticket ..stopped by today they acted like didn't know a thing said "well we cant print off another" which I know but didn't tell other girl that sold to me apparently ..so I said that's ok its registered on my email and if by any chance someone here comes up a winner I will protest it..l they looked at me like I was crazy...Dishonest people will get theirs!!!

I would like to commend the NCEL. A pair of Greensboro brothers were scamming players out of their winnings and then collecting on the tickets. They were busted on 3-12 in Greensboro. I saw their names on the winners list nearly every day for a $1000. I knew something wasn’t right about it. They were taking winning tickets, scanning them and then saying they were losers and cashing them in. They have cheated there last lottery winner and I hope they get the book thrown at them. I am so impressed that the NCEL uncovered this scam. It gives me great confidence in knowing the game is on the up and up; so on behalf of all the hardworking NC lottery players that enjoy playing the NCEL, thank you for busting these thieves.
