Charlotte 7-Eleven sells $255,597-winning jackpot ticket

Someone who played Carolina Cash 5 in the Queen City won a king’s ransom in last night’s drawing. A ticket sold at the 7-Eleven on Providence Road matched all five numbers in Wednesday’s drawing to win the $255,597 jackpot.

The winning numbers for the drawing are 3-21-25-33-34. The winner or winners have 180 days to present the winning ticket at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.

I play daily and pray daily hoping that one day i will win that which is deserved for me.Will never lose hope coz i do it faithfully knowing that even when i lose,my money goes to education and so am not trashing it.Good luck pals our days are surely coming,just take courage!!!!!

Lucky -Zone.You are right as you are just doing your job.Also ,you are correct as to my right to have an opinion.I Thank you for your time as it is very hard to play and NEVER win and this is what I question.Sorry I cannot play and loose all the time and still call it fun as it has been years. Sometimes folks just need information or an explanation so they can see things in a different way. The Lucke-Zone is a community, so even when we disagree we have to find a way to get along :-)

I heard someone behind me in line at the store the other day say "they will not let anyone win around here". This just isn't true in my opinion. If you will look at the lottery tickets sold in different counties in the state it would only make sense that you hear about more winners in Charlotte. There are lot of people and a lot of tickets sold in mecklenberg county. Just do the math.that doesn't mean you can't hit it big in a small town though.

All these cry babies. Its the lottery fault BC they lost. Just like the lottery said stop playing then. Every single week I put 10 and 12 tickets in the Wednesday 2nd chance and still lose.by time I win I'd be getting my 2500 back. But I'm not being cry baby. I play powerball faithfully never one.I spend lots in scratch offs and never won more than 5 dollars. But why chew out the lottery they didn't tell me to play. Grow up people.

@ KAROLINAKYDD - The lottery doesn't release the time a winning ticket was sold for draw games like Cash 5, Mega Millions or Powerball for the security of a player who might have bought that ticket. State law requires the lottery to make public certain pieces of info AFTER a prize has been claimed so that citizens know that real prizes are awarded to real people.

I am praying to win big and winning the Cash Five Bonus with the Toyota Tundra would be a blessing. I would give my hubby the truck since he has a older truck and use the money to help those effect by these natural disasters and pay bills. My time is coming.

I'm not by any means saying the lottery is a scam as I do realize that statistically your chances of winning are VERY low... but I do often wonder, why when the balls are pulled is it done in such a way that there is no real time reference as to when the drawing REALLY took place? For all we know they have a million pre-recorded ball pulls that they just queue up depending on what number they want and then air that "tape" with a live voice-over which includes the "date and time" of that drawing.

Raeford NC can't even get on the map, I have been playing since I came back from Iraq in 2007, haven't won a thing. I'm going to start getting my tickets in SC again, at least I won something. Nc has this second chance with your tickets and the same areas are winners, what's the chance of that!!!!!!!

My husband has been playing the lottery since before it was ever in North Carolina. He has played twice a week with the same 33 sets of numbers every time. The most he has ever won has been $300 in South Carolina before we got the lottery here in NC. He has faith that some day he numbers will hit. He hasn't missed a drawing on the powerball in over 10 years. My prayer to God isn't for him to hit the huge payout but to win something where I can see his face when he wins, because I know he's going to be so happy and I just want to see that more than whatever money he wins. He spends a lot but I'm waiting for the reward of his happiness.

I have this idea that maybe the lottery could include the time in which the ticket was sold being they do have a timestamp on them. I do know it doesn't change the luck in winning but it could actually be a big help to some naysayers.

I have tried to have a positive attitude on the lottery so I have kept quiet but still have watched the location of winners.I am sorry you can say what you want to but I have watched long enough to say if you do not buy you tickets in a certain area you may as well not play.Do not tell me everyone has the same chances to win as I have been playing from day one and the highest I ever won was $12.00 and the clerk threw my ticket away as no winner.Playing for enjoyment does not work either as never winning cannot be fun.It is just about on the verge of being strange as people from out of state can win but not people that live here and buy tickets everyday.No,winners where I live or it is such a small amount you never hear about it.Even the lady that works at the store where I buy said she quit playing as all big winners were from the Charlotte area.
