Don’t miss deadline for Star Trek second-chance drawing

What sounds more out of this world to you: Winning $20,000 instantly or winning a trip for two to Las Vegas for the 2013 Star Trek™ Convention? For a limited time, you could win either one thanks to a lucky Star Trek instant ticket.

You could scratch and win instantly, but if you don’t, the journey doesn’t have to end there. Make sure to enter your non-winning Star Trek tickets before the second-chance drawing deadline at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, June 15. The drawing itself is set for the following Wednesday.

The grand prize winner and a guest will stay at The Rio Suites in Las Vegas for the convention which will be held Aug. 8-11. Expect around the clock entertainment, including appearances by 70 Star Trek celebrities, programs for the “science” of Star Trek, fan panels, trivia competitions and more.

Besides the grand prize, ten winners in the second-chance drawing will be awarded Star Trek merchandise prize packages.

Why is there no one from the Siler City/Staley area ever winning any big prizes, this lottery seems like a scam. I mean not one single person around is winning nothing but peanuts! This includes the games pick 3/4, cash 5 and scratch tickets are a joke.

I'm new to the lottery as far as the second chance goes but I am doing pretty good as far as my lottery tickets are concerned. I trust in the goodness of God, so I will keep on playing for me and my family . I love the lottery.

I have been playing the lottery for years and im still waiting on my big payday hoping that is one my lucky numbers to come out or I get lucky in the second chance drawings but for now no luck at all I have not seen one winner in the Statesville .stonypoint area in years I still enter all my tickets in for the drawings hoping to get lucky soon

I really want to win this Vegas trip (as are other folks) because it is on my Bucket list to go to Vegas. I created my Bucket list in February after being diagnosed with Stage 4 bone cancer. I am keeping my finger crossed.

@ PLAYER (SH) - All state lotteries make the decision to end games before they sell out completely. There are a number of factors that go into that decision, including the amount of prizes that remain, as well as how long the game has been on sale and what new games are coming out.

I have a major beef!! I went to buy a lucky green $2 scratch off and was told the lottery people came yesterday and took them all!!! That is NOT fair, you get down to the bottom and there is still a grand prize and other major prizes to be won and they are removed. I've noticed they are still selling tickets where there are no grand prizes but lots of tickets left. I never thought this was a scam until now. Unless you have a great explanation, I will not think otherwise.
