Greensboro student wins $10,000 playing Mega Millions

When you play draw games, do you choose your own numbers or let the computer Quick Pick for you? Catherine Lee Domian went the Quick Pick route and won a quick $10,000. Her ticket matched four white balls and the gold Mega Ball in Friday’s Mega Millions drawing.

Domian, a student and homemaker from Greensboro, collected her winnings at the lottery’s Greensboro claim center on Monday. There, she said she was undecided what to do with her prize money. How did she feel when she realized she won? “I thought my husband was pinching me,” Domian said.

Domian purchased her winning ticket at the On the Run store on Copperfield Boulevard in Concord in Cabarrus County.

On Tuesday night, Mega Millions players have the chance to win the $36 million jackpot annuity ($26.1 million cash).

I am in a rural area thru the week until at least 7:30-8pm and don't get a cell signal but have access to wifi or I would have called with my questions. Can you at least tell me if there is a problem taking pix's of my tickets and entering them after cashing in a win??

Anyone who thinks 10 K is beneath them to win, can donate to me and I'll pay off my credit cards, doctor and still have some left to feel at ease! That's like the folk who think the staring 12 million in Mega and 40 million in Powerball is to paltry a sum and won't play til it reaches a hundred million or more! The interest on the amount one clears on the cash amount of Mega Millions will net a person around 8 to 9K per month when invested right and on just a savings with compound interest about 3-6K. This is if one lives a comfortable life with no worries and doesn't spend like a drunken sailor! I'd be happy!

The critical factor is having security and draw staff available to follow all the procedures. They are conducted using a random number generator, always under the supervision of an auditor, according to specific security procedures. We hope The Catz is satisfied with this response!! :-D

i have a question- sometimes i haven't entered my winning draw ticket (cash 5, pick 3, etc) before i cash it so i will take a pix of it with my phone and enter later. i happened to do it at the store counter and the kid working there said i wasnt't allowed to do that because he had received calls from the lottery saying winning tickets were being entered after being paid out. i haven't had any problems entering them but want to know if this is true. he is always getting calls from the lottery he says about things they can't do which i can't find anything on your sites that say otherwise. does the lottery call retailers as often as he says they do??
