Entry deadline nears for first ‘Hot Summer’ drawing

The first of three Hot Summer 2nd Chance Drawings is coming soon – and that means the first entry deadline is coming even sooner. For a chance to win one of 20 $5,000 prizes, players must make entries by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, June 30. The drawing itself will be held on July 3.

It’s easy to enter for a chance to win. In fact, if you’ve entered even one ticket here in the Lucke-Zone since June 6, you have already entered! During the Hot Summer 2nd Chance Drawing promotion, every ticket you enter for Lucke-Rewards points also gets you an automatic entry into a drawing for the chance to win $5,000.

In each of the three drawings, 20 prizes of $5,000 will be awarded. Here are the key dates you need to know:

Drawing 1: Entry from June 6 - June 30 (Drawing on July 3)
Drawing 2: Entry from July 1 - July 31 (Drawing on Aug. 7)
Drawing 3: Entry from Aug. 1 - Sept. 3 (Drawing on Sept. 11)

To see how many entries you’ve made, click on the Drawings Page and scroll down to the Hot Summer 2nd Chance information toward the bottom of the page.

The lottery will attempt to notify winners by e-mail within 48 hours of a drawing. Once a winner has responded to notification, the Winners page will be updated. A $5,000 winner will claim the prize at one of the lottery’s regional offices. A winner’s name will be announced only after he or she has been notified and the claim process is complete.

Remember to have your entries in by midnight on Sunday. Any tickets you enter here in the Lucke-Zone after that will give you a chance to win in the next drawing.

It's my understanding that the 2nd chance drawings were only for tickets bought during the month of June, therefore for those of you that had non winning tickets from May going back those tickets were not counted as an entry, also the rules indicate you can only win 1 time for the 2nd chance $5000 drawing. Is this not correct Lucke - Zone.

@ JEFF - Every lottery ticket for a draw game you get has just one entry code, even if it has more than one line of numbers. All tickets for draw games, winning & non-winning, are eligible for Lucke-Rewards points. So, our recommendation would be to enter your ticket for points, then take it to a retailer or claim center to collect your $2 prize!! :-D

@ EARL2212 - The lottery doesn't decide what is and isn't public record. By law, a winner's name, hometown, game played & amount won are the four pieces of public information for any lottery win. Any additional information is up to the winner to share.

it should not be up to the person to have the number of points shown to the public just like their name is public so should everything about the game. if anything i would want to have the option of my name like some of the other states have. i strongly think that the points should be a part of the public record with no options.why hide that?

i agree with Carmen on the other blog. i feel you censor by holding comments until another blog comes out and then they are entered in the original time they were submitted and not at the end so you have to reread the whole thing to see the new comments. so some comments won't be read. also what she said is no different then others telling you to be sure and tithe and spend it wisely. if i were to spend my money wisely, i sure would not be playing the lottery chasing a dream. i agree with her comment- most rich people do not play the lottery. i don't feel she was being anymore critical then others telling us what to do with our winnings? my 2 cents!!

You haven't answer my question about the main lottery page under winners and then instant the dates go from June 20, 2013 to June 25, 2013.
