Cash 5 jackpot climbs closer to $1 million mark

Carolina Cash 5 players have the chance to win an $860,000 jackpot in Sunday’s drawing, the eighth-largest jackpot in the game’s history. If no ticket matches all five numbers, the new jackpot amount would likely top $1 million for the second time this year.

Big Carolina Cash 5 jackpot wins have been a theme in 2013.

In March, a farmer from Zebulon won the largest Cash 5 jackpot ever awarded to a single winner. Homer Buffaloe had the only ticket to match all five numbers in the March 3 drawing, making him the sole claimant of the $1,144,821 jackpot.

A pair of tickets won nearly half a million dollars each in the June 24 drawing. Winners from Salisbury and Hollister split the $954,550 jackpot.

When you buy the last two scratch tickets in a roll, should they have a specific number or numbers such as 000 and 001. I bought the two last tickets today and they were 028 and 029..

When that happens, the clock starts ticking. A winner has 30 days to respond to the lottery's notification attempts. We try by e-mail, telephone & certified mail. If we never hear back, a prize is awarded to an alternate winner. And the notification process/clock starts again :-)

if I had won this wonderfull prize, the first thing I would have done, would have been a gift to children in our local school system, is to go there and make sure the ones that needed a new pair of shoes to wear, would have a pair, beacause as a child I was given by our elem school a new pair of shoes, because our parents were poor,I,ve not heard of anyone in our small town of Murphy nc winning such a wonderfull gift, maybe one day that will hapen, to someone here.
