Pick 3 players see ‘Trips’ in night of big drawings

Wednesday night was exciting for draw game players in our state. While N.C. Powerball players were buzzing the most, it was Carolina Pick 3 players who won the most. The winning combination 6-6-6 led to a total prize payout of more than $1.3 million.

Heading into the highly anticipated Powerball drawing, the annuity value of the jackpot was estimated at $425 million but was ultimately larger. The $448.4 million jackpot was split by three lucky tickets that beat the odds of 1 in 175 million. Two tickets were sold in New Jersey and one was sold in Minnesota.

Four tickets sold in our state beat odds of 1 in 648,976 to match four white balls and the red Powerball and win big prizes in the drawing. A $3 Power Play ticket worth $40,000 was sold in Davie County at Wilco #278 on Yadkinville Road in Mocksville. Three more tickets, worth $10,000 each, were sold at the Harris Teeter on Lawndale Drive in Greensboro, the Ocracoke Station on Irvin Garrish Highway in Ocracoke and at Sam’s Mart #25 on North Tryon Street in Charlotte.

In the 13 drawings since the jackpot run started on June 26, N.C. Powerball players won more than $3.8 million in prizes, including a $1 million win.

There was more news for players of jackpot games last night. The Carolina Cash 5 jackpot rolled for a ninth straight time and now stands at an estimated $690,000 for Thursday’s drawing.

We congratulate the winners from last night’s drawings as they collect their winnings and look forward to watching the upcoming drawings with everyone to see what happens next.

I enjoy the opportunity to win, especially the second chance drawings that do not cost us anything extra. I have won prize packs in the past, but have not won money on the extra chances-yet! I will keep trying.

can we start seeing the 2nd.chance drawings on tv so we know that you are just not selecting the names from a sheet of paper. PLEASE!! i think that those of us that blog are intentionally left out of the selection. i do.because you know who we are.that's one reason why i don't use up all of my points. can you extend the 20/5k game till thanksgiving. you have enough money. maybe you will have mercy on some of us on the blog who so really,really,really need the money. thank you!

With games of chance that offer the chance to win cash prizes, there is never a guarantee to any player that he or she will win a prize - only a guaranteed chance to win a prize. @ PLAYER (BLACKCOP73) - No matter how many entries a player makes into a drawing, there is still never a guarantee of winning, only a chance to win. So if you are feeling discouraged and not enjoying yourself, it might be good to take a break.

ncel has locked me out because of to many invalid entry codes. I was not doing anything dishonest to have this done. The codes on these pick 3 and 4 sheets are not easy to read and therefore mistaken letters and numbers are going to happen. I have at least two months of tickets to enter and for more than 24 hrs I could not put them in. The messeage says after 24 hrs and it still happens you will be permanately locked. This has me very upset, no one deserves this after spending that much in tickets.

Play for fun and play sensible. Don't make it your career. I found out if your're too anxious,you'll end up losing a lot of money and never winning anything. It's only a game, and I would love to win a great amount, but I am winning just enough to stay interested. If you're not in, you can't win. Good luck and win and spend sensibly.

It is a funny thing that all the top pay outs are always some where else and you all say that every one has the same chance to win. I bought over $2000.00 of Jumbow Bucks and never hit over $50.00 on one. As many tickets are sold around Hillsborough someone should hit something.

Just watched interview with 1 of the winners on CNN. He is from Minnesota. He and his wife were down to earth and had a great sense of humor. He said he plays more scratch offs and happened to do a quick pick powerball. Best to him and his family. He took cash option worth $86 million!!
