Got a call ,I was at work, wife said woman on phone said I won 10k by doing something on line,she said she talked very fast and did not say if she was with lucky zone or nc lotto? did not let her ask were you go to collect. I Did not get email to confirm win. Guess it was crank call??????NC Lottery
We suspect it was. If you win a Lucke-Rewards drawing, you will get an email from the lottery to the email address associated with your account. If the lottery does not get a response, it will call you. Finally, the lottery sends a certified letter. Please be careful out there.

When was the last time someone hit any top 2 prizes in the Lucky for life game? NC Lottery
Last September, two friends from the towns of Clinton and Magnolia each bought a Lucky for Life ticket with the same numbers... and they both won the second prize of $25,000 a Year for Life. Then, in April of this year, a player from Selma won $1,000 a Day for Life. In every drawing there's the same chance to win - good luck! :)

My family and friends have decided to give the lottery a rest for a while. We play scratch offs often. Every year at Christmas we go to random stores in the Asheville area for our chance to win big Yeah right! It is just not happening for us. I have express my feelings before about Raleigh and surrounding areas getting the bigger and more wins. We all know it is a chance but a chance we are not going to take until the odds are more even (which I don't think will ever happen). When you don't win with the scratch offs and you don't win from all the losing tickets then something is wrong. I had more than 200 entries on two drawing (140 on the drawing 10 for $2500.00) not even a tee shirt. When I get the erg to play I am putting my money in a drawer for my next car or guitar. Good luck to those who continue to play but I hope more people will follow my lead until the money is more evenly distributed across the state. The last time I checked Texas was not in North Carolina.

TNT, You can't "play smart' when the odds are stacked against winning anything of note. Granted, you got lucky. I've asked questions about the All or Nothing drawings, but cannot seem to get back to the page to read Lucke-Zones replies. I did get an answer touting the 'fairness' of NCEL's random number generator that selects numbers for A-or-N games. I still say it's a sham. For instance, evening draw for Oct.8, 2014 is as follows: 2 3 7 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 24. No one is going to convince me that the "random number generator" isn't programmed to NOT have any winners. No RNG I've seen CONSISTENTLY spits out numbers in numerical sequence.NC Lottery

Ladies and gentleman, it is all luck...no different than playing poker. You have hot hands and you have cold hands. On the way home yesterday from work, and I live in a rural area, I bought two $5 tickets and two $10 tickets. I won $100 on 2 of them. Later on, had to go to Food lion and bought 2 more $5 tickets and hit another $100. Play smart and your luck will turn.

The overall odds of winning are for the entire printing run of the game. It is definitely possible to get many non-winning tickets in a row or more than one winning ticket in a row; it's all due to random distribution. Good luck to you!

Seems to me the reason that more winners are from Raleigh/Durham area is because that's where most of the people are. More people more tickets sold and better the odds of catching a winner.NC Lottery
You're half-right. It's not easier to win the lottery in a place where more people live or play. You have the same chance of winning or not winning no matter where you live, the odds just tend to play out more often in larger places.

Quick Question ~ I notice on the WINNERS page it lists obviously the winners' names and then "Winner Notified." I know we provide our email and phone contact. I don't expect a response from the NC lottery , as I can see you don't respond to certain posts , that are very true. Why when you buy 10 of 1 kinda of scratch offs in sc , you can majority of the time at least get half your money back , or break even ,or actually make money . Not in nc you can just about forget it . Your lucky if you win on 1 card. It's because the nc lottery dont want anybody to even get close to getting their money back. Nc lottery is a joke . I've decided to quit buying instant tickets. Because you will lose.Everytime I buy one , I know in the back of my head I'm going to lose.

We have tried dozens of times to reply to your comments with sincere information about how much luck it takes to win the lottery. There is no geographic advantage when it comes to winning a game of chance. The odds just play out more often in places where more people take a chance to win. But its not any easier or harder to win the lottery based on where you live. If that makes sense, we hope you'll enjoy playing for a chance to win. If not, maybe games of chance aren't the best option for you.

But for example, a total of 257,705 entries were made into the September Cash drawing. For the Oct. 2 "5 for $500" drawing, a total of 125,094 entries were made. Good luck!

I have a suggestion for the Cash 5 game .... Since both the Pic 3 & 4 games now have Sum it Up and Pairs - front & back, can Lottery do same or something for Cash 5 please ? I think it would make the game much more interesting, like it has for the Pic 3/4 games. Thanks !

Congrats to the winners! I played more money than I should have when CASH5 get's that high like that! Now have to cut back on my CASH5 and PB, MM, tickets. Last night MM, bought 2.00 dollars worth and won 2.00 dollars on the mega ball number 38. Now with Cash5 last night did win 2.00 dollars on it.
