Three lucky tickets split $792,045 Cash 5 jackpot

For three players who bought Cash 5 tickets recently, Friday night was their day. A trio of tickets matched all five numbers drawn to split the $792,045 jackpot and win $264,015 each. The winning numbers were: 1-18-30-32-34.

One of the tickets was sold in Davidson County at the Quik Chek on Old U.S. 52 North in Welcome. Another was sold in Iredell County at the Food Lion on North Main Street in Mooresville. The third was sold in Rowan County at the Sheetz on South Jake Alexander Boulevard in Salisbury.

Then, on Saturday night, another ticket beat the odds to win the $50,000 jackpot. That ticket was sold in Alamance County at the Whistle Express on West Main Street in Haw River. The winning numbers in that drawing were: 7-12-17-27-34.

Whoever has the lucky tickets has 180 days from the date of the drawing to collect the prize money. Prizes of $100,000 or more must be claimed at lottery headquarters in Raleigh.

Congrats to winners ! Think Cash 5 will soon be only game I play. Just bought 15 Triple the Money scratch offs in consecutive order. Did not win a dollar, so much for 1: 4.6 odds. I know they show how many top prizes remain on scratch offs. Would like to see how many ZERO tickets are printed, must be millions ! My days coming. Good Luck. NC Lottery
The odds are accurate when the game starts and fluctuate up and down for the life of the game. Remember, if a game has 1 in 4 odds of winning at least a break-even prize, that means 75% of tickets are non-winning tickets. Those tickets are where the prize money comes from! Good luck! :)

The prize structure can't be changed. BUT, be on the look out for a new Cash 5 play feature coming soon... ;-)

Hey I won 6 dollars on my cash 5 ticket last night!! All my numbers I picked! Needed one more number and I could have won, 301.00 dollars with 4 numbers correct! Been a long,LONG time since I have won four numbers right! Waiting on the BIG win!! Hope it's tonight!! 121,000 thousand will do me just fine! Winners are announced as soon as possible. But before we can, they have to #1 respond to our notification and #2 complete the claim process. The notification process typically begins within 48 hours of a drawing; after that, it's up to the winners to follow through! :)

Last night 45 people got 4 out of 5 numbers and only won $148. Come on guys throw me a bone here (a big bone) if you want me to keep playing. If you get 4 out 5 you should get at least $1k. Getting 4 of 5 is really hard, on average only 25 get it! NC Lottery
Hey Turbo, well... you've just touched on how it works. The prizes for matching 5, 4 or 3 balls playing Cash 5 are "pari-mutuel," meaning they are shared equally among all winners of that prize level. So, just like the jackpot can be split three ways, match 4 prizes can be split 45 ways :)

Think I'll do like a winner a few months ago claimed. He said he bought 2 tickets of each sets of numbers. Even though he paid a dollar more, if he ever had to split a pot he'd win more. Example if he shared with 2 others he'd get half the jack pot and they'd only get on fourth each. Pretty slick idea. He'd still win the same as one ticket if he had to share with himself and it only cost a buck more. Congrats to the winners, glad to see you get ahead!

Is it possible for quick pick to pick the same number more then once? Or do the other winning numbers have to be picked by the other ticket holders. Same question for PB and MM. NC Lottery
Yes, a QP can be any of the possible numbers within a particular draw game's matrix.. makes no difference if one other ticket or 100 other tickets have the number. It's purely random.

well,well,well... Look a here!! 3 winners!!! congrats to you 3! Like I said in earlier post when it get's up high like that I go on a spending spree to hope for a lucky win. Spending just to much money on trying to win! I'm just trying to hard I guess. Everybody is needing some cash right now, and I'm one of them too! That's why we all play to win, some do win and some don't win! That's the name of the game, you win some and lose some.I did win ten bucks on a five dollar scratch off last night! In times such as they are today this was truly a blessing for the winners. That goes to prove anything can happen if you keep the faith and play, for the cost of one dollar, it's better then a slot machine and cheaper, congrats to the winners.
