There’s something in the air. It’s the sweet smell of your chance to win one of 20 tasty prizes in the Papa John’s Pizza Package Drawing.

Use 10 Lucke-Rewards points to enter before midnight on Nov. 2 and you could be one of five winners to receive two one-topping Papa John’s pizzas each month for an entire year.

Fifteen more winners will celebrate their good luck with a pizza party that includes two one-topping large pizzas, wings, breadsticks, a mega chocolate chip cookie, and a pair of Pepsi 2-liters.

Hungry for more chances to win? Besides the drawing, you can play the Papa John’s instant scratch-off game. You could win up to $20,000 instantly. Plus, every $2 ticket for the game has a Bonus Code you can scratch that is guaranteed to be good for a free or discounted menu item from Papa John’s.

Tickets for the game will still be on sale after the Nov. 2 entry deadline, but that day is your last chance to enter the drawing, set for Nov. 5. Lucke-Rewards winners are typically notified via e-mail within 48 hours of a drawing. Good luck everyone!

I, too wondered about this "free" with purchase, that's really not fair. And in all honesty pretty deceptive! A large pizza at full menu price is the only purchase that counts:/ shame, shame.....smh,can't decide who is in the wrong about it? Papa Johns or NCEL?NC Lottery
Kim, we have done our best to make it clear that every ticket's bonus code comes with a free or discounted menu item. The bonus items are totally extra in addition to the game's prizes. When Papa John's approached the lottery about doing a ticket, they wanted there to be some value on every ticket whether it won a prize or not :-)

@ QUICK64 - Sorry for the delay in our reply, but we wanted to double-check our facts with the product staff that created the game with Papa John's. Long story short, there just isn't as much space on the ticket to communicate every detail for every possible bonus prize. Please clean your lottery machine for the pick drawings!! Heck, I haven't won on the pick 3, 4 or 5 in 2 years!! My freaking number will not come out. Look it up 144 and 311 (I play them EXACT)! Your machine need to be cleaned out!! How do you'll go about that? I am sure dust and other particles are in the drawing bind.

I am little concerned about the advertising of these coupons on this ticket. They are not true, because anything that has w/ purchase you have to buy a LARGE pizza at regular price. To me a purchase is a purchase whether it is $1 or $100. I do not consider this a deal at all and the ticket should state that fact in BOLD!To me this is a prime example of false advertisement, and very misleading.

NCEL is a JOKE!! You buy $20 scratch off and get 5 times $5.00 (what in the heck is $5.00 increment doing on a $20 dollar scratch ticket)! It ought be aleast 5 times $20 dollars. Geese, I be seeing $1 and $2 on these tickets! It's not fair and honest! I guess that's you'll legal way of ripping off the players.NC Lottery
We are hearing that you're frustrated and encourage you to play lottery games knowing that the odds of winning mean you have to have luck to win a prize. Non-winning tickets are what make it possible to have the chance to play for prizes, big and small.

Not my favorite lucke-zone game as yet. Yet, it would be cool to get that. I am on of those who keep pushing along. Buying since 2007. Kept a budget and win lose ratio. Been in the hole for a while. Need some luck and maybe it will pay off. I hope so can't keep loosing for too much longer......

Has anyone else had a problem with entering the bonus codes from Papa Johns scratch off tickets ? i go to their website and try to enter the code and it always says unspecified error try again later. If I can't enter the codes the ticket is no good to me. HELP !!!!!!NC Lottery

@KalillJ, I thought I was gonna run across that same issue, but the only charge our Papa John's charged, was the $3 delivery fee. Hope you get it straightened out. Does anyone know how it works when they say 'pizza for a year'? I'm sure it's a limit on how many/times a day you can order? Well, hope I win, would be soooo delighted.NC Lottery
Take a closer look at the blog - free pizza for a year in this case means pizza twice a month every month for a year.. not "unlimited" pizza for a year! :) Good luck to you!

I agree with the other person who wrote that odds are better in South Carolina, it seems that most of the winners in North Carolina are in the northern part of the state I'm tired of your response to everyone's complaint is it's the LUCK OF THE DRAW.Most of the winners of the big prizes of scratch off and the second chance drawings are in the northern part of the state, you can't tell me you don't know were the winning tickets are sent to I was born at night but IT WASN'T LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!NC Lottery

Lucke-Zone.. I have called the player hotline and I have called Papa John's customer service and I have not gotten a response back. I have gotten several promo codes off of the scratch ticket for a free pizza or free food items, And it's the ones where you get free and don't have to purchase anything...but.. my local Papa Johns store is charging everyone a minimum of a $3.99 purchase in order to get your FREE food items from the scratch ticket. That is completely false advertising and not fair to the player. If the food is free from the scratch ticket why are we having to make a minimum purchase online to redeem our free food promo code???NC Lottery
