Feeling Lucky to be in NC? We’ll see you next week

When we announced last week that the lottery is going to be a part of the fun and tradition at this year’s N.C. State Fair, we asked the Lucke-Zone to tell us about the best prizes you ever played for at the annual event. We heard about folks taking a shot to win vehicles: Cars, trucks … even a tractor. How North Carolina is that? Other members mentioned prizes like TVs, a grill, stuffed animals and goldfish.

Stop by our booth and you could win much more. We’ll have tickets for all your long-time favorites, plus new games like All or Nothing, and the instant scratch-offs that just started this week – including $200 Million Blowout. The $20 game has 16 prizes of $1 million and four more of $4 million. New Papa John’s tickets will be available too. Every single $2 ticket for that game, which has instant prizes up to $20,000, has a bonus code for a free or discounted menu item from Papa John’s.

October is going to be a huge month for folks who like to play the lottery. Just a few days after the fair kicks off on Thursday, Oct. 16, the new MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB lottery game debuts on Sunday, Oct. 19 with the first drawing to be held the following Friday. Check the all or nothing graph out mid sept u had 5000 break even prizes currently u have about 2500 so what does this tell us , it is fading away, because people are finally realizing that this game is pathetic.NC Lottery
We're sorry to hear All or Nothing isn't your kind of game. It has actually been quite popular, because the odds of winning something back are better than with other games, and for just $2 there is a chance to win $500 or even $250,000! We hope some of our games have prizes and odds you like :-)

Keep on winning KING! Someday you might be living in a real castle if your lucky numbers keep hitting on Pick 3!!! My favorite game right now is All or NOTHING, cause I can at least win my money back on that one every time I play. I got my eye on that $250,000!!! North Carolina Lottery was for education. That's what a lot of us thought. What's going on with the money. Too many teachers losing their jobs. The purpose of the lottery was for education Please explain.NC Lottery
All lottery proceeds do go to education - more than $500 million last year. But that's equal to about 5% of what the state spends annually on education ($10 billion with a B). The lottery has raised more each year, but it is elected officials who make budget decisions.

Lactose Indollarance! That's hilarious! (BTW, all the free food/discounts are extra, which is to say they aren't instead of cash prizes. The game is loaded with cash prizes, too :-)

To put it in perspective, the $500 million we raised last year is equal to about 5% of what the state spends on education ($10 billion/year). Our job is to offer fair games and return profits to the state, and players have helped us raise more each year; elected officials make budget decisions about how to fund education
