Three new games round out 2014

The last launch of new instant games in 2014 features one with four chances to win $150,000 and another that lets you start 2015 early with 10 chances to win a $2,015 prize.

Joker’s Wild is a $5 game that begins with four $150,000 top prizes and more than 63,000 prizes from $30 to $5,000. Players who reveal a “$50” symbol win a $50 prize instantly. Revealing a “Wild” symbol wins five times the prize shown.

The new $2 game, Triple Play, offers multiple ways to win and five chances at a $30,000 top prize. Players have three ways to win a prize: Matching one of your numbers to one of the winning numbers wins the prize shown. Revealing three like prize amounts wins that prize. Players who reveal a “Moneybag” symbol win $20 instantly.

Want to ring in your new year in style? Cash Celebration 2015 is a $1 game that starts with 10 top prizes of $2,015. Players can double their prize by scratching off two like amounts and a “Bankroll” symbol.

Not sure where to put my comment..but I guess here is as good as any place..When you announced that we could enter our winning tickets to get the extra points that was great..however when we enter our ticket and we over look a winner the web site would prompt use to check our ticket closer because you didn't recognize the number and we would know we had a winner, the new way doesn't tell us if we over look a winning ticket ..I like the old way and would be willing to loose the points so as I can find out I over looked a winner when you don't recognize the number....Just sayin

Who decides where the big winning tickets go? I have been playing the lottery since it has came to NC. Seems like I just clear the way for the big winners! I would like to scratch off the big one someday. Thanks for the hopeless ending.

Question....Do scratch-off games vary in size (total # of tickets printed). For example, $10 scratch-off, Millionaire 7s came out in April, 2014 and 100,000 Jackpot came out in August, 2014. I noticed that Millionaire 7s, while an older game, has more prizes available to win and currently has more prizes remaining than 100,000 Jackpot. This would suggest that Millionaire is a bigger game with many more tickets printed? Can anyone help to clarify?NC Lottery
Very observant! You can figure out how many tickets for any game were printed by multiplying the odds of winning a prize at a particular level by the number of total prizes in the game. For example, $200,000 Gold Rush started with 1 in 1 million odds of winning one of the 6 top prizes. 1 million times 6 = 6 million tickets :-)

Thanks for the response NCEL. I will say I am disappointed. I used almost 20,000 points in the $2000 holiday cash drawing and I have not been contacted as a winner. Over 950 entries. What more must I do to win :(NC Lottery
Hi Mr. Josh, we know you're a loyal player, and we appreciate that. Making lots of entries certainly increases your chances of winning, but someone with just one or a few entries still has a chance of winning in a random drawing. We know that folks enter hoping to win, but it does take lots of luck to be one of the few. So, good luck to you :)

Are the pick 4 numbers picked randomly?When I look at the amount of times that the 1 and the 9 is in the number I'm amazed.NC Lottery
100% random. One of the interesting things about a series of random drawings is that you can look afterwards and see what appear to be patterns. But they don't predict anything about what will happen in future drawings. Good luck to you!

No. Making more entries gives you more chances to win, but it doesn't guarantee anything. Anyone with at least one entry in a drawing has a chance to win! Because all entries are created equal :)

We began notifying winners yesterday.. we can't share their names until they respond to notification AND complete the claim process, because until they do both of those things, they aren't officially winners yet!

Why is it that the day the new games come out I look to see how many winning tickets are left and some has already been won? The same day they are released.NC Lottery
We got a lot of feedback from players who were disappointed when they couldn't find new games on First Tuesday, so we started shipping them to stores a little earlier to increase the likelihood that customers would be able to buy them on First Tuesday. When there are holidays involved, sometimes the tickets have to be delivered even earlier to ensure they are available when most folks are looking for them. Thank you for the question!

I have 1500 entries-hope I win!! I have had as many as 1900 entries without a win, however I did win once with 162 entries...so its all in the luck of the draw!!!

I played 10x crosswords everyday for the last 3 weeks. I have won only one time. I've heard that NC scratchers suck and I see why. I went to SC this weekend, bought 4 $5 cards and won on every one of them. It's a rare day you get a win in this state. I know it's a gamble but it sucks that out of 21 cards, you win $5.00NC Lottery
Sorry to hear you didn't have better luck. Because winning and non-winning tickets are distributed at random, its very possible to get multiple non-winning or winning tickets in a row. Sometimes it only takes one to win a prize! Good luck to you

Yo, ALWAYSLOSING, please see an investment counselor, with that kind of cash being misspent on lottery, maybe you might want to invest that money more wisely! Sounds like you have it to spare. Just a suggestion. And NCEL, what happened to the occasional 1 or 3 million, or even a 25K or 50K REWARDS drawings? We have fallen QUITE FAR when the only prize you can offer is 250.00 dollars worth of BAD pizza. The bloom is off the rose, I guess.NC Lottery
The Papa John's drawing was popular with many players, but we know folks like the chance to win cash :) You can expect games in the future with seven-figure second-chance prizes, too.

Lucke-zone I have question, why did you start the whole "First Tuesday" thing and then let stores start putting them out before then. Some stores even put it out a week beforehand. So what's the point of " First Tuesday " ?NC Lottery

The new games looks interesting. What about offering scratch off tickets that show something about our state. For example: cardinals, lighthouses, beaches, the Wright Brothers, sports teams, or dogwood trees. Also, more $3 games are needed in my opinion, something other than bingo and crosswords.NC Lottery
