Three new Hot 5's games start Tuesday

Three new instant games heading to stores on May 6 celebrate the number five. Players who reveal a “Hot” symbol on any of the games will win every prize shown on the ticket.

The new $5 game, White Hot 5’s, begins with five top prizes of $150,000 and more than $16.5 million in total prizes.

Want to turn up the heat for only a couple of bucks? Red Hot 5’s, a $2 game, begins with more than $6.7 million in total prizes and six top prizes of $30,000.

For just a dollar, Hot 5’s starts with 12 top prizes of $5,000. The game starts with more than $4.2 million in total prizes.

Remember, new scratch-off games begin on the first Tuesday of every month. So which of these "hot" new games tickle your fancy?

With lottery games, its always more likely that you won't win a prize than that you will... that's what makes it possible to have a chance to win a prize much larger than what you wager. Hope you find a lucky ticket!

I have noticed that some people have won lucke rewards multiple times, maybe these people work at a store and collect other peoples tickets . I buy all of mine, its not Fair {{Jus sayin}}!!!

The White Hot 5's ticket hasn't been so Hot for me. I bought 4 and won nothing. Maybe they will heat up for me soon. Someone asked the question about anyone winning on any big prizes on the EZ Match. I haven't won anything more than 7 bucks but I did hear a player telling a cashier at Food Lion that someone won $500.00. That was in Salisbury. to To the player that posted they needed 0-8-0 to come out on pick 3. It came out last night (5/9/14).

I had a whole lots of points to use for entries on the lucky rewards. I have 25 points entered on the 5,000 May Money entry! Drawing on my dads birth date! R.I.P. Dad! I have also got 25 points entered into the 2 for 1,250 lucky Wednesday drawing too! I still have 600 points left to go, just might go ahead and use the rest of them! But I might just wait to see if the Lucky rewards will have any more games to play, before I use them all up! I could use anything of them amounts of money to win!! I have 5 tickets for the 50,000 bonus bucks drawing that will take place on my daughter birthday 6-11-14..Might buy more before then, hope it's going to be me a winner this time! Scotland County has lots of big winners, including 23 scratch-off winners from $10,000 to $750,000, two Cash 5 jackpot winners ($126k and $642k), a $1 million Powerball winner and a $10,000 Mega Millions winner. I sure didn't know that many winners had won in that county! Now we had a cash 5 winner the other day, on may 2,2014 here in Richmond County!That store was 4 miles from me, I have bought tickets from there before, but on that day, I didn't! Congrats to April on her big win!! My turn is a coming!!! The last big winner was the woman who won on the scratch off, 3 million dollars on 10-22-09, then we had another cash 5 winner again on 8-22-2011 232,246. Now another big winner that I know of won on a scratch off too for 500,000 on 3-10-2010. I don't know about all the small wins![1,000 or more] here in Richmond Co! Could y'all enlighten me on this? First Tuesday isn't any different than any other Tuesday, people aren't going to win crap anyway , this states odds of winning is the worst in the entire country , oh yea NCEL I wanted to congratulate you guys on a great job u did on the ez match cash 5 scam, another one of y'all's tactics to get people to spend more, y'all knew nobody was goin to win 500$ 250$ 100$ 50$, went in and bought 20 of them one day won back 5$ wow now that's what I call a good investment , bet I will never do tht again I've already quit buying instant tickets , and I am very seriously thinking about not buying anymore mega or pb tix also, this lottery is very pathetic.NC Lottery

I agree with the player from Lucama, except we see very few BIG ticket winners (over $1000) in very western NC, Boone, Wilkesboro, West Jefferson, ect. All big money winners seem to live in the Winston-Salem to Raleigh to Charlotte triangle. I do play lucky rewards but so far , still no luck. NC Lottery
In Wautauga County alone, there have been 19 scratch-off winners from $5,000 to $100,000, five Powerball wins from $10,000 to $40,000 and a Cash Splash raffle player won $50,000. As always, consider that there are more potential players in areas with higher populations, so it stands to reason that more winners could come from more tickets sold. That being said, tickets are sent out to retailers randomly, so everyone has the same chance of winning a big prize. Thanks for playing!

i would like to know why when u look at winners list it says where the ticket was purchased but then you see some winners and it says not available or just ..nc i thought it should be known where the ticket was purchased and who purchased it.. thank you for your quickly response... NC Lottery
The information on the winner's board is pulled from a database that is constantly being updated. Sometimes information gets pulled in before it's complete and the missing information will be populated shortly after. The Green & Gold game is still available in some stores, but you're correct in that there are no more packs left to be shipped to retailers. There's still one more $150,000 prize out there, as well. Also, Happy Birthday to your "honey"! :-)
