Lottery win means new car for Lumberton man

A Lumberton man recently scratched off $10,000 – but said he felt like a million bucks when he won.

Simon Rosen stopped at the Get N Go Gas and Grill on Caton Road in Lumberton. That's where he bought his lucky ticket for the $120 Million Cash game. He beat odds of 1 in 40,000 to win the $10,000 prize.

He claimed his winnings Tuesday at the lottery's regional office in Wilmington. There, he said he planned to use his prize money to buy a car.

As of Tuesday morning, one top prize of $3 million, three top prizes of $1 million and two $100,000 prizes remain to be claimed in the game.

Our main website doesn't have a winner listing that is organized by geography. But you can click the "NEWS" tab to read stories of $100K+ winners from all across the state :)

You can go to the DRAWINGS page in the LUCKE-REWARDS area of the website, scroll down to the Caesar's drawing info and click "WINNERS" to see the status. You will see that one winner has claimed the prize, and the other three have been notified.

The lottery doesn't "block" anyone's entries from winning - drawings are random and the results are random. There are hundreds of thousands of Lucke-Zone members, many of which enter for a chance to win. It takes luck - good luck!

The odds of either 4444 or 2222 coming out in a Pick 4 drawing are always exactly 1 in 10,000 for every single drawing, regardless of past results.

I'm getting off topic but I just want to make a suggestion on the Subscription option especially for the pick 5. I think they should lower the# of draws to 7 instead of 14. I would love to play more than 1 # at a time be 14 draws for 1 # only allow me that one chance to pay each day it $14 on one pop for 1 # is hard to buy in to. Just my thoughts.

How do I get a copy of the pre-draw list for pick3 and pick4? Do you think it's fair to pre-draw considering it affects the outcome of the game, and the players have less chance to win because the numbers have been skewed infavor of ncel.NC Lottery
The odds of a particular # coming up in a drawing are not affected by pre-draws, which are standard in the lottery industry. Each # in a Pick 3 drawing has a 1 in 1000 chance in the live drawing regardless of pre-draws. This is how much confidence I have in winning more than 100$ on a scratch off , I think I would have a better chance of finding a couple 100$ on a street or at some parking lot.

Anyone can make the lottery disappear if they want to. Just pretend that lottery tickets are monopoly money and you probably won't buy them. Personally, I like a little excitement which is what the lottery thrives on!

Congrats to all winners! Pick 3 and pick 4 help. I would like to see an option on the play slip to pick the ame numbers for both draings especially when I am playing advance plays It will print sparate numbers for each pla with quick pick; it will only do oterwise if you pick your own numbers. We've had five multimillion dollar jackpot winners for Powerball and Mega Millions here in North Carolina. A ticket sold anywhere has just as good a chance as any other ticket; you just have to remember folks in 42 other states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands play Powerball & Mega Millions too! :)

Must be nice to win something. After playing from day one and entering countless losing tickets. It's nice to see someone win who doesn't really need it. It would be nice to at least have a clue where a hundred dollar ticket is, but some of have all the luck in the world and some of us don't. All my tickets last night was a looser as usual.I have a powerball ticket for tonight but after years of playing my husband said this is it.We will get our tickets from Virginia.Played the lottery there once and won $15.00.In NC have played from day one every week and won $1.00.NC Lottery
Most lottery tickets are not winning tickets, in both North Carolina and Virginia. That's where the prize money comes from to pay lucky winners. Good luck to you!

Having even one entry in a drawing gives you a chance to win. The more entries, the more chances to win. But the results are random so there's never a guarantee, only a chance to win.
