Cabarrus County store sells $227,730-winning Cash 5 ticket

Summer is off to a great start for someone who played Cash 5 in Harrisburg. A lucky ticket, sold at the Food Lion on N.C. 49 in Harrisburg, was the only one to match all five numbers in Monday's drawing to win the $227,730 jackpot.

The winning numbers in the drawing were: 15-16-25-29-37. The ticketholder has 180 days from the date of the drawing to bring it here to headquarters so we can award the prize.

Another player in the greater Charlotte area won $50,000 thanks to the most recent Cash 5 Bonus Bucks drawing, held June 11.

“This is great,” Cergio Marin of Charlotte said as he collected his winnings. “I’ve been playing Cash 5 lately because of the Bonus Bucks entries. And I win all the time just playing the EZ Match game. I won $10 just this morning, so I got my money back and I still have numbers in tonight’s drawing.”

Marin's winning Bonus Bucks entry was issued at the Arrowood Shell on South Tryon Street in Charlotte.

The next Bonus Bucks drawing is set for Aug. 14, with an entry deadline of July 30. Just make a $5 Carolina Cash 5 purchase before the entry deadline for an extra chance to win up to $50,000.

I have had some bad experiences buying tickets at gas stations and etc. I now buy my tickets at places where i know they sell alot and also organize events in our local area. I have had the best service. I told the represenative my bad luck lately and he took money out of his pocket and bought me 10 more tickets. I still didnt win but Icould laugh with him about it. He had then gave me a cup,umbrella and a toy for my child. He made me feel so much better.It is so worth going to people who really care!!!!!

me a few of my friends are haveing trouble with the cashiers checking our numbers on the ez match i have seen them hiding and looking at my ticket had to tell them to stop a few times some have even cashed the ticket without asking the numbers need to be hid somehow NC Lottery
