Forsyth County store sells $269,010-winning Cash 5 jackpot ticket

Someone who played Carolina Cash 5 in Clemmons hit the jackpot Tuesday night. A lucky ticket, worth $269,010, was sold at the 4 Brothers at 2410 Lewisville-Clemmons Road.

Store manager Teresa Pfau was excited to hear the good news.

“That’s fantastic!” she said Wednesday morning. “We have a lot of regulars that come in, and I am so glad that someone has hit something big!”

The winning numbers in the drawing were 1-5-11-33-36. The ticket sold at the 4 Brothers was the only one to match all five numbers, beating odds of 1 in 575,757 to win the jackpot.

The ticketholder has 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the jackpot at lottery headquarters in Raleigh. We are looking forward to meeting the winner!

Congratulations. I was wondering if anyone has noticed the 20 dollar tickets that there seems to be no prizes anymore. Use to when I was able to spend 20 on a ticket I would at least win from 40 and up. Twenty dollars is a lot to just throw away.

Yeah I got 4 of 5. The fifth was a 36 when I played a 30. I won $224 though. It would have been nice to split that 269 thousand wit the winner. I will just keep trying until my number shows.

Lordy, Lordy, Lordy!!!! I have numbers written down on my book of numbers. I have quite a few sets of numbers that I have wrote numbers down from fortune cookies, a number generator on LZ numbers page on here! Every drawing I look back and see how close some of my numbers have came close of winning! I can't play them all, so I play maybe one or two sets of them along with my regular numbers I have from birthdays and anniversary's. I got 3 out of the 5 correct! So close! Maybe tonight's drawing will be the winner for me! Good Luck everyone!

Hello NCEL, how you all doing today? What is going on with the HIT 500 scratch-off ticket, you reordered them then updated the prize count page and yet i went to 6 different lottery retailers yesterday in iredell county and couldnt find any of them, whats up with that? what do you all do send the old ones back and mix them up with the new reordered ones? Hello, Chris. We're doing good today. Thanks for asking. Sorry you are having trouble finding Hit $500! tickets. We don't send them back. The new ones go out to stores as retailers ask for more. They are definitely out there. You just need to find a retailer who carries the game and has some. It is a popular game. An option that might save you some gas. Call our Customer Service number, 877 382-7529, give them a location, and they can get back with you with a nearby retailer who has tickets in stock. Good luck.
