'Back Scratch' feature returns in new $5 game

Fans of the Green and Gold game should be very excited to know that we've brought back the "Back Scratch" feature in our newest $5 game Break The Bank. Just like Green and Gold, which was among the fastest-selling games we've ever had, this new game lets players try their luck on the back of the tickets as well as the front.

The game, which will show up in stores this week, begins with six $200,000 top prizes and more than $20.7 million in overall prizes. Players can also win more than 92,000 prizes from $40 to $500.

Three additional games will start to show up in stores this Tuesday:

Crossword 10X ($5) is a crossword-themed extended play game with four top prizes of $100,000.

Triple 7’s ($2) features five $30,000 top prizes and a chance to double or triple your winnings.

Lucky Spot! ($1) offers more than 1.5 million winning tickets and 10 top prizes of $4,000.

Papa Johns Instant Game tickets are listed as an eligible game for 2nd Chance. What constitutes a losing ticket? I've tried to enter five tickets and every time I type in the game number it is rejected. Could it be that winning a free pizza is considered to be a "winning ticket"? I wouldn't think so, but then I can't figure why a ticket that doesn't win any cash could be cosidered a winner???NC Lottery

Is Junior Big Ol' Bucks (399) am elgible game for 2nd Chance ticket entry? It's listed in the list of Elgible Games, but no picture of the ticket like all the rest, and the ticket price is listed as $0.00 instead pf the actual price of $2.00. It's odd that it would be inelgible when tickets are still being sold. NC Lottery

Purchased a 10X CROSSWORD, scratched, won $20 up top and $5 on bottom. Revealed the small letters TWF to comfirm the $25 win. Took to retailer and the ticket scanned Sorry NOT a winner! I have played since the lottery started so I know a winner when I have scratched one. The retailer photocopied the ticket and I am $5 in the hole with a LOTTERY MISTAKE. Makes me wonder about error rates. NC Lottery
Please try to claim your prize again today, Saturday. If you still have trouble, keep your ticket and call Customer Service at 877 962-7529 on Tuesday. Sorry for the extra trouble, but give us the chance to check your ticket out.

It's really sickening, discouraging and disheartening to see the same names and the same stores winning OVER and OVER and OVER on the scratch tickets. Even the same name at the same store or a different store on the SAME day.... Come on NC Education Lottery, what gives? I brought this to your attention a few months back....NC Lottery
We hear comments similar to yours all the time; the reality is there's no advantage or disadvantage to winning the lottery based on where you live or play. Everyone's odds are the same.

Cool! I love to ask people have they won anything lately! This one women won 500.00 last week and 500.00 this week. I wanted to cry but instead I started laughing.If you dont laugh about your loses you may just cry! Oh well at least I got everyone laughing as they purchased their tickets.

I see there is no reply to the question I placed. In regard to becoming a Subscription member.Why keep the little guy like me ? Why not give VISA BEBIT CHECK CARD a go.I think it's just as good as the MASTER CARD.NC Lottery
There must be a mix-up because we can't find a question from you about this topic; but to answer your question, the vendor that provides the subscription system to the lottery is unable to accept VISA debit cards at this time. It is nothing we have against folks. At some point in the future, VISA debit may be accepted by the subscription system.

If the game has ended and there is a claims only for that game. Why is that same card issued again. How can we tell if the top prize is not already claimed. I know that some store owners are lazy and i know that they havent switched out the cards. I dont want to continue to buy a particular game if the top prize has already been claimed. NC Lottery
We update information on instant games daily on the Instant Games page of our website.http://www.nc-educationlottery.org/instant.aspx The update shows how many prizes at all levels remain to be claimed. Our policy is that when the last top prize is claimed we begin the process of ending the game. So the game ends as soon as possible after its top prize is claimed.

I liked the back scratch game but they got gone quick! When will they hit the stores in the triad area of NC?NC Lottery
Because of the Labor Day weekend making Monday a state holiday, the new tickets for September are actually being shipped out on Friday. So. They could start going on sale as soon as Friday, but it's up to the stores to rotate them into stock. So, sometime between Friday and Tuesday you should be able to find them in your neck of the woods. Our goal is for them to be available as many places as possible on First Tuesday each month :-)

Cool, that was one of my favorite games.No one could understand why the original was not reissued after it sold out so quick. I won more on the back then the front. Never more then $25 though. $50 adding both sides once in a while.
