Twenty-six prizes of $10,000 to $750,000 won this week

It's time again to travel across North Carolina to find out where good luck showed up this week.

Kevin Humphrey of Greenville is the latest player to win $750,000 playing Jumbo Bucks. He purchased the ticket at the lottery’s regional office and claim center on Dickinson Avenue in Greenville.

Ralph Havis of Greensboro has owned and operated the local Beef Burger restaurant for the past 43 years. On Sunday, he purchased a Golden 7’s ticket for $5 – around the same price as a burger, fries and a drink at his restaurant – and won $150,000. “When I saw what I had won I felt dizzy,” Havis said. “Some people talk about the fun things they would do if they won the lottery, but my fun is selling hamburgers.”

Michele Freeman of Charlotte scratched off the $200,000 top prize in the $200,000 Grant game. She purchased the lucky $5 ticket at the BI-LO on Pineville-Matthews Road in Pineville.

In all, lottery players across the state won $17.8 million playing instant games and more than $4 million playing draw games, totaling more than $21.8 million in prizes. Twenty-six prizes won or awarded were worth between $10,000 and $50,000. The winners and the games they played are:
