For the second Saturday in a row, a triple number combination was drawn in the Carolina Pick 3 game. The biggest win of the week involves a bit of a fish tale. Something about a morning fishing trip with a brother gave John Wright of Alexander County a “good feeling,” so he bought two lottery tickets on the way home and landed $2.6 million as his catch of the day. The second share of the jackpot was collected by Clinton Jones, a retired engineer from Kernersville. Jones, who likes to play Cash 5 when the jackpot goes over a quarter of a million dollars, said he had no particular plans for his winnings.
The final share was claimed last week by Randel Holland of Raleigh.
