Latest drawing results 'sliding' your way

We know that a big reason many draw game players visit our website is to get the most recent winning numbers. And, since 2006, they’ve always been displayed together on the front page. But there’s only so much front page “real estate” and, as you might have noticed, we’ve added a lot of new games and features over the last eight years.

That’s why, with All or Nothing coming soon, the winning numbers area has been updated to slide through the results of all the most recent results for all our draw games.

As some of you know, in an update to our website on Thursday, the winning numbers area was temporarily replaced with an All or Nothing graphic. Starting Sunday, that space was going to feature the animated results of All or Nothing drawings, to highlight the new game.

But we received feedback from many of you - by e-mail, telephone and social media - that you wanted the winning numbers to stay on the front page. We listened and fast-tracked a plan to feature the results with the slider.

Remember, this change is in place so that we can share the results of twice-a-day All or Nothing drawings starting Sunday. For those who give it a try, we hope you’re lucky enough to see all – or none – of your numbers in the drawing results.

Ok I will compare the odds of all or nothing to those other games, guess what your odds are way better to at least win something on these other ones compared to all or nothing , but u could call all of these draw games all or nothing or just call em nothing because 90% of the time u not goin to win guess what nothing.Say what u want to NCEL but the North Carolina lottery is not a profitable venture.

Sorry to hear you didn't have better luck early on. Compare the odds of winning something playing All or Nothing to Cash 5, PB & MM and you'll find its actually easier due to the way the prizes are structured.

I have played the ALL or NOTHING and so far haven't hit on much... But I can see where it takes luck to get the right 12 numbers to win or lose. I have always enjoyed playing the lottery and have won plenty and lost plenty..its all a matter of LUCK!!! I appreciate not having to go all the way to VA or SC to play! It isn't a secret that most tickets don't win prizes. But we also award more than $2.6 million in prizes a week - the prize money comes from non-winning tickets. It's all a matter of luck which is why we encourage folks to play for fun knowing that it takes luck to win.

@ TAUGUST1970 - First, we already use a random number generator for Lucke-Rewards drawings, Carolina Cash 5 Bonus Bucks drawings, and second-chance drawings. And, like drawings conducted with ball machines, All or Nothing drawings also have an independent auditor as a witness. The random number generator operates independently and separately from all other lottery systems, including the lottery’s central operating system which handles and tracks the sale of lottery tickets. The RNG has one job and one job only in the All or Nothing drawing: Randomly select 12 winning numbers between 1 and 24 for each drawing.

Why this new game does not use a balls to draw the numbers? (All or Nothing) And with the early draw time does this mean you will be moving the draw time for Pick-3, Pick-4 midday and Cash-5 evening draw? The midday time is good but I don't like the evening draw time being so late.NC Lottery

Drawing 12 numbers at random twice a day using traditional ball machines would be time-consuming. The All or Nothing drawings will not affect the draw times for Pick 3 and Pick 4.

I have bought 4 all or nothing tix and what do u know its nothing for me as in lost 8 $$$$$ just the way it was set up and just the way u lottery people like it u can't win on this either I'm really thinking hard about not ever spending one more dollar on this sorry pathetic lottery.you guys odds are so bad on winning any $$$$ at all , it's laughable. So, the way lottery games work is that most tickets don't win prizes, which is why a $2 wager for All or Nothing could be worth $500 or $250,000. Please only play knowing that the odds mean it takes a lot of luck to win.

I am disappointed I could not see the drawing of the numbers. I watched the replay of the drawing when they were available at 1 pm. Why can't you show the live drawing like all other drawings?NC Lottery
Winning numbers for All or Nothing are generated using a random number generator. You can see our responses to some other players' questions for more info.

north Carolina is the hardest state for me to win its to many repeats of the same number there is no way a number falls in a state the same day the number falls in north Carolina the same way the ball just don't do that to me something seems crooked.NC Lottery
It takes a lot of luck to win a prize playing the lottery. Most tickets don't win prizes; that's what makes it possible to win $500 or $5000 on a $1 wager for a game like Pick 3 or Pick 4.

Because the balls in All or Nothing are "computer generated", how can you convince us that this game can't be manipulated or, for the lack of a better word, rigged? Is the computer that "randomly" generates the numbers hooked up directly to the main lottery computer that stores all chosen numbers for the current draw, thus being able to know what numbers to "randomly" draw so as to not contain a top prize number combination. Seems this game can be easily rigged if it is.NC Lottery

Please consider getting updated lottery machine in NC. The lottery machines are so slow and takes forerver to print out tickets.South Carolina has scanners that work fast. Virginia offer self serve lottery machine which are awesome. Being NC are getting more new games it would be great to have lottery machines to keep up with th demand.

North Carolina Education Lottery net proceeds will be used this year to help pay salaries of teachers and teacher assistants, for pre-kindergarten programs for at-risk four-year-olds, school construction and repair, and need-based college scholarships and financial aid. For prizes of $5,000 and greater, 25 percent federal tax and 5.8 percent state tax are automatically withheld. so proceeds pay teachers salary and bonus and only certain groups of kids can get extra help but every kid that needs extra help wont be able to get it because parents cant afford it even working parents and the teachers wont help the kids because the teachers just wants big pay increases great hours and tenture looks like to me its all about helping teachers and not helping the kidsNC Lottery

Wow, you guys get the prize for taking a perfectly good website and totally messing it up. All the sliding and rolling bars and pictures have got to have a "pause" feature. All of your ADHD players can't concentrate long enough to find out if they have won a dollar. Please consider what NOT to do when redesigning your website by looking at valottery.com. That has got to be the worst web site in the nation....Consider going back to your original format. It was much easier to read on mobile devices. I do not have the time or energy to click multiple tabs to get the results.

I guess I am like everybody. I liked the old setup. I understand that you all is trying to advertise the new game. Suggestion would be to remove the purple box for cash 5 2nd chance winners and post all the last night winnings there. Improve the odds to win on the scratch offs. Losing customers. South Carolina Carolina odds are better and they give you the choice of viewing the page as full version or mobile to see the winning numbers.

Of the 10,000 possible Pick 4 combinations, 10 are quads, which means there is a 1 in 1,000 chance that one of those combinations will come up in every drawing. Over time, those odds don't change, its just a matter of random luck when players who like those numbers will see them come up :)

Regarding all or nothing, the odds of winning the top prize is extremely high (2million to one or close to.) With all the money that will be wagered, why will the pot not grow like the 5, mega, and pb? When it gets hit by multiple winners, it's divided evenly but capped at 250k.NC Lottery
All or Nothing is a completely different kind of draw game, where - for wagers of just $2 - multiple top prizes of $250,000 can be paid out in a single drawing. Our hope is that between All or Nothing, our other North Carolina draw games, and the multistate jackpot games, that there are options that players like.

@ JOEBOB - We are looking forward to a complete overhaul of our website at some point and, when that happens, it will be mobile-friendly. It's a long story but we're currently limited in how much we can adjust the structure of the website as it is. In any event, with the addition of All or Nothing, there simply wasn't enough room to display all the results in that space. So we've gone with the slider and hope that visitors will get used to checking out the results that way.

This is a terrible idea. Very bad. One more bad idea on a badly executed site. It's not mobile-friendly at all, there's no direct link from Lucke-Zone back to the NCEL site, and now we can't see all the games at a glance without having to click through (again, a problem for mobile users). And don't suggest that I bookmark the other page. I already have the home page bookmarked, and there's only so much real estate on my end as well. Did you conduct some sort of survey which is telling you that more people want to see a video of one game's drawing than a summary of all games? Or is it some sort of SEO clickbait strategy? Sorry, but this is a terrible idea.

I really miss the old NCEL home page where the numbers and prize amounts for all of the draw games show up, it was always exciting to log on and have the latest results pop up, the new system of having to click on each draw game is very lackluster:(NC Lottery

It's easy. Just click on your name in the upper right-hand corner of the Lucke-Zone, look for your phone number, and click change to update it ;-)
