Ten players are headed to Vegas for game show experience

Ten winners and their guests will be headed to Las Vegas next month for the chance to appear on the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES CLUB™ lottery television game show. The second of two scheduled second-chance drawings was held today to select winners at random.

Each winner will receive a five-day, four-night trip for two to Las Vegas, where TV game show episodes will be taped. Winners will be notified today and we will share their names as soon as they come into a regional office to claim their prize.

Each of the 10 selected players will be in the audience and will have a chance to be randomly selected as a contestant on the show, which airs in February. Each episode will offer the potential of more than $2.5 million in prizes. The TV game show will feature Billy Gardell of “Mike and Molly” as host and will be taped at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Trip winners and their guests will stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Rutherford County resident Ronald Laws, a technician at a manufacturing facility, was one of the 12 players chosen to travel to Las Vegas in the first MMC second-chance drawing, held last December. He returned from the trip on Monday.

“It was always my dream to go to Las Vegas,” Laws said Tuesday. “The whole experience was just fantastic across the board. My wife and I even got to do some sightseeing and played in the casinos for a bit. We were treated very well the entire time and the lottery did a bang-up job.”

Remember, the deadline to enter your MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB tickets into the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB BONUS DRAWING is Sunday, Jan. 18. The drawing, which will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, will award two $50,000 prizes, 10 $10,000 prizes and 15 $1,000 prizes.

When you make multiple entries at once, you get the number of entries you made, but there is also a record of the transaction, which is basically like a receipt number, not the number you have in the drawing.

Hey good idea for the lottery that might make people more at ease. when balls are drawn on big games maybe you can select a lottery player from luck Zone to be present for it. maybe pay for there gas and food for that one night. just a idea. The amount of trips awarded was based on ticket sales. The game was more popular in Pennsylvania.

To the folks complaining about how this game and some others are run, I understand the frustration, but other than the pick three and four, cash five and all or nothing, NC lottery has not control over the ticket cost, how it is played and the jackpots. Megamillions, Powerball, and Monopoly are multi state games that began in another state or states. NC only joined like others did to share in entries and winnings and has not control on the rules etc.

this post is for the players name of alwayslosing. i have played ever sense they started lottery in north carolina. so you have to realize that you may have entered hundreds of tickets but so have i and so have thousands of other people. the more people that enter the lower your odds. not a whole lot they can do. we all wish that we can be a winner. but if its your day then you win if its not then you dont. we all spend a lot of money just like you. that being said i wish you and all players including my self the best of luck. we all need it.

Sure, thanks for the chance to answer your question :) The drawings are done using a certified random number generator that picks however many numbers at random, from the range of entries made in the drawing. Whatever entries come up are the winners! All our drawings are done under the supervision of an auditor, according to strict security procedures.

Nobody's entries are blocked. More than 100,000 entries are often made for any particular drawing.

That's what I wonder about each 2nd chance drawing( how many entries a winner has?). I only wonder because I for one haven't won anything and enter every drawing I can. Very curious if the reason I haven't is because I don't have an extreme number of entries? I know, I know, it only takes an entry to win, BUT I wonder how many winners of these 2nd chance drawings, actually won off of "1 entry"... My guess would have to be not that many? Going to keep entering though, because if your not in it, then you surely won't win it!! :)

No comment. The NCEL will never do what is ethically right in paying out the millions designed to be given away in the monopoly game. Listen to the players. Pay it out every 10 to 15 million. If no winner hits the jackpot pay it out in million dollar increments to the tickets already registered in each drawing.NC Lottery

About the future, there's nothing that needs to be discussed. Ditch that RNG mess that everybody hates, bring in the ping pong balls and move the drawing to a non-Mega and non-Powerball night. Also, leave the top prize at 15 million or less and give away multiple million dollar prizes when the jackpot is NOT won. Problem solved.
