Vegas awaits these 10 lucky players

Next month, 10 lucky players will travel to Las Vegas for the chance to appear on THE MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB™ lottery television game show.

The players were randomly selected as trip winners after submitting their MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES’ CLUB tickets into a second-chance drawing. Each will receive a five-day, four-night trip to Las Vegas, where TV game show episodes will be taped.

All 10 players will be in the audience for three episode tapings and will have a chance to be randomly selected as a contestant on the show. Each episode will offer the potential of more than $2.5 million in prizes. The TV game show will feature Billy Gardell of “Mike and Molly” as host and will be taped at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. Trip winners and their guests will stay at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

• Phil Morgan of Seagrove
• Randall Harmon of Greensboro
• Kimberly Brown of Zionville
• Dewey Samples of Hope Mills
• William Smith of Durham
• Alan Goodwin of Trent Woods
• Harold Horne of Boiling Spring Lakes
• Gregory Gutowski of Fort Mill, S.C.

This isn’t the first lottery win for Phil Morgan, a well-known potter, who also won a Ford Mustang in a Carolina Cash 5 promotional drawing in 2007. “It feels great to win again,” Morgan said. “I’ve never been to Las Vegas. This is wonderful.”

“This is fantastic,” said William Smith, a retired telecommunications worker. “My daughter actually lives in Las Vegas, so I’m going to bring my wife and make a family trip out of it. And hopefully, we’ll win some money.”

As for the MMC Bonus Drawing, the winners have been notified. We will release their names after they come into a regional office to claim their prize. Make sure to keep an eye on the winners page here in the Lucke-Zone.

Finally, we don't currently have anything to share regarding the MONOPOLY MILLIONAIRES' CLUB game, but we will pass along any news we receive as we receive it.

You'll see a Sneads Ferry player won a Pizza Party from Papa John's; two Jacksonville winners won one of the NC State Fair VIP Packages; and a Onslow County winner in one of the 3 for $800 Winning Wednesday drawings. Hope those wins count.

Just throwing it out there if anyone wants to compare entries. I had 440 entries into the 1st drawing and 362 into the 2nd. For the bonus drawing I had 161 entries. That's $805 spent on a game that had great potential. I didn't win any thing. Am I mad? Heck no. I am kind of mad about that chip they put in my head that makes me stop and buy tickets everyday on the way home from work...............

It's too late now, but I really wish you all would have gave away more $1000.00 prizes and skip those $50,000 prizes, because this game was a bust and we all spent our money on it. You all would have made a lot more people happier just giving out a lot of small $1000 winners. This we more people could reinvest that $1000, but I am not going to reinvest $50,000 as easy. Just my thoughts.
