Before we get to the run-down of our state’s biggest wins this week, we’d like to take a moment to wish everyone well in the face of adverse weather this weekend. Whether you’re along the coast or anyplace else, please remember not to take chances driving through or crossing flooded areas.
With that important item addressed, let’s get to the fun stuff.
The biggest winner of the week, Hector Guerra, stopped at the Royal Stop Citgo on Eastway Drive in Charlotte. That’s where the Queen City resident bought a $20 ticket for the 100X The Cash game that turned out to be worth $1 million. With Guerra’s win, one more $1 million prize and one top prize of $4 million remain to be claimed in the game.
A Cash 5 jackpot worth nearly $1 million – the largest in more than two years – was split Wednesday night to win $468,673 apiece. One of the winners, Michael Jones of Fayetteville, came to lottery headquarters Friday to claim his winnings. We look forward to meeting the other winner whose ticket was purchased at Mountain Energy on Hendersonville Road in Arden (Buncombe County).

Please prove to me that this is not riged, that it is for real; I am worried because the same people keep winning. please prove by letting me win.
