Three different types of games paid off in a big way for lottery players last week.
The Pick 3 game paid out $1.5 million to players who had winning tickets for the Oct. 18 evening drawing when the triple 3’s came up. The odds of any particular Pick 3 combination being drawn are 1 in 1,000. An exact match on a $1 ticket wins $500.
A $1 million prize in the $200 Million Blowout game was won by Vivian Moore of Durham. She scratched off a lucky ticket she bought at the Food Lion on Fayetteville Street in Durham. “I scratched off the ticket while I was in the grocery store,” she said as she claimed her prize. “I saw that dollar sign and I was stunned. This feels unbelievable.”
The Oct. 17 Cash 5 drawing resulted in a $246,279 Cash 5 jackpot for a Kernersville man. Jeffrey Svedek, a customer service representative for a local gym, played a series of family birthdays to win. “I’d used those numbers for a while and was about to pick some new ones,” he. “I’m so glad I didn’t. This feels really good.”
Another Cash 5 jackpot winner this week is Frank Vecchio of Raleigh. He bought his $82,763-winning ticket for the Oct. 20 drawing at the Harris Teeter on St. Albans Drive in Raleigh.
Rhonda Moore of Kings Mountain won $25,000 instantly on a Gold 7’s ticket.
