Get a free ticket with Power Play promotion

What’s better than a chance to win a multimillion-dollar Powerball jackpot? How about a free chance to win it?

During a limited-time promotion from Nov. 1 – Nov. 28, when you Power Play three sets of numbers on a single Power Play ticket, you’ll qualify for a free Power Play ticket for the next drawing.

Recent updates to the game mean that when the jackpot is between $40 million and $150 million, the Power Play multiplier could win up to 10X the prize. Matching all five white balls – also called a "Match 5" – doubles the $1 million base prize to $2 million.

Remember, only a Power Play purchase of $9 or more on a single ticket qualifies for the free ticket. Listen for the “Free Ticket” message each time a promotional ticket is printed and look for the “Free Promo Ticket” message on the top of your ticket.

I used the generator to generate some numbers and it gave 31as the powerball number and the powerball numbers only goes up to 26 rightNC Lottery
Correct. When was the last time you tried this? That issue has been fixed.

I wish one time that instead of having a great big power ball win, it would have for instance, $310,000,000- it could give 310 people a chance at 1 million dollars.

This is a North Carolina-only promotion. It's possible that other states are running their own promotions but we're only communicating the North Carolina promotion :)

No. As with other promotions, you have to visit a retailer to get the free ticket.

Please rephrase the promotion. The way it reads at stores and even on this site it sounds like when getting 3 separate POWERPLAY you get one ( 4th ) free. I found out yesterday not true. Wording is very deceiving. And please listen to the players requesting $1 & $2 powerball. Odds are definitely astronomical Now. ThanksNC Lottery
We made a point of being very clear here when we wrote the blog that it must be a single-ticket purchase. But you are correct that the graphics could be much more clear. Sorry for any confusion. Our state is one of many where Powerball tickets are sold, and decisions about the game's features are made by the National Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL).

I want to know why all the big winning tickets are in the part of the state where the lotto headquarters are located? You cannot tell me it is the luck of the draw I highly believe that all the big winning tickets are from Raleigh to the Coast. I agree with other players it cost enough to play as it is why not have games where folks can at least break even and not go in the hole trying to win.
